OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
MAY 2, 2007
Mayor Waiz called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. and on call of the roll those members present were:
City Engineer Miller and Councilperson Wilson.
Also present were: Fire Chief Miles, Vehicle Maintenance Director Drury, Assistant Police Chief
Lovan, Planning and Zoning Director Hicks, Street Department Director Ellis, Animal Shelter Director
Wilder, Building Commissioner Segraves, IT Director Hardy, Personnel Director Calabro,
Redevelopment Director Cahill, City Attorney Merkley and Deputy Clerk Mayfield.
Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the payroll, seconded by Councilperson Wilson
and carried unanimously.
OLD BUSINESS
1937 UTICA PIKE
Building Commissioner Segraves said this item has been resolved.
NEW BUSINESS
NO OUTLET SIGN
Councilperson Wilson said a "No Outlet" sign is needed at the corner of Holly and Poppy
Drive. Street Commissioner Ellis will check the location.
SIDEWALK REPAIR
Councilperson Wilson said the sidewalk needs to be repaired at 2009 Eighth Street. Engineer
Miller will check into this.
STREETLIGHTS NEEDED
Councilperson Wilson said streetlights are needed in Lansberg Cove. Engineer Miller said he
will have Dan Braun do a study on this matter.
AMENDED LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY AND FIREFIGHTERS UNION
Attorney Merkley asked the Board to approve an amended lease between the City and the
Firefighters Union Local 558 extending the term to five years. Engineer Miller made the
motion to approve the amended lease, seconded by Councilperson Wilson and carried
unanimously.
UPDATE ON FIRE STATIONS
Heather Graninger with Kovert Hawkins Architect gave an update on the Fire Stations and
City Services Complex.
