ORDINANCE NO. 98-OR-
AN ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING CERTAIN FUNDS WITHIN SAME DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, it has become necessary to transfer money from one major budget classification to another
within the Jeffersonville City Police Department's Budget; and
WHEREAS, there is now within the Jeffersonville City Police Department's Budget sufficient monies to
pay this additional amount.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana,
that the sums of money as hereinafter set out in the Department of the Jeffersonville City Police
Department be transferred as indicated.

Dear Sirs/Madams,
Your consideration for the following transfer of funds will be
greatly appreciated.
$40,000.00 from Police Salaries Regular ~101006100 mo Police
Equipment ~101006480.
$5,000.00 from Chief Records Clerk ~101006116 Eo Police Equipment
~101006480.
The reason for the transfer is to purchase in car video cameras
from funds remaining in the 1998 budget. We are anmicmpating
purchasing~ 11 cameras for $4,095.00 per unzm installation
included) ~Yor a total cost of $45~045.00. The remaining monies
were saved from the difference in pay between a new Dfficer and ~
retiring officer.
