The meeting was called to order ~t 12:05pm. The roll was called and with all members
present they were ~s follows' AAick Henneg~n, Ted Throckmorton, Sue Pf~u, ~[ohn Young,
Kevin Lo~ronge, and Vicki ¢onlin.
Personnel and guests present were os follows' Superintendent Rob Poff,
Aquotic/P, ecr¢otion Director Sara Kraft, City Council member Barbara Wilson, and
Evening Klew$ Editor Lorry Thomas. Any other guests present will be recognized os they
address the board.
Minutes:
The ,Tune 2005 minutes were approved os submitted on o motion made by ,Tohn Young,
seconded by Akick Hennegon, co~i¢d unanimously.

Old Business:
Superintendent Rob Poff addressed regarding the former Ewing Lone Pool hOuse
p~ope~ty. He ~eminded that this motte~ was tabled at the Po~ks Bo~d AAoy meeting and
noted additional info~motion given at the ,Tune meeting ~ego~din9 the Nochand Fieldhouse
po~kin9 lot and discussed the lease on the Wilson p~ope~ty. He info~med that himself,
AAoyo~ Rob Woiz, and City Attorney Les AAe~kley met with b~. Thomas Rohr of G~eote~
Clark Schools regarding these matters. He stated that they left him o proposal
~equestin9 partial land transfer at Nochond Fieldhouse and to propose canceling the lease
ogreement on the Wilson property each os o trade for the old Ewin9 Lone Pool house. He
noted that the Porks bepo~tment will pay fo~ the survey ot the Nochond Fieldhouse and
that Greater ¢lork Schools will pay for the survey of the Ewin9 Lone pool house. He
~equested the Board's opprovol to 9ive Greater Clark Schools' permission to sto~t needed
~epoirs/work on the Ewin9 Lone Pool house while ou~ proposal is bein9 reviewed. A motion
was mode by ,Tohn Youn9 to approve Greote~ (;lark Schools to start work at the Ewin9
Lone pool house, seconded by Vicki ¢onlin, carried unanimously.
Superintendent Rob Poff addressed the board to update on ,Teffersonville-CIo~k County
Youth Football (,1¢¢¥FL) concession buildin9 ~t Shi~'ley Hall Park (~k~:
,Tefferson). He informed that ,T¢¢YFL is financing o loon to build o concession/storage
buildin9. He hod pictures of the buildin9 and noted that it will be b~ick and that they
expect to have it completed'by start of the 200§ seo$on. He added that' they do not
expect to hove bleachers installed until 2006. He then informed that we hove ordered
the goalposts ~nd plan to power seed the fields agoin to be completed o15o by the 2005
S¢oson.

New Busines_s:
Rob addressed the board regording Director of Outreach Services open position. He
informed that we accepted and interviewed 12 applicants then recoiled three for o
second interview. He recommended ,Tustin Campbell for the position and requested the
board's approval. He noted that ,TuStin comes to us with o marketing degree from Butler
University and experience with youth activities. There was some discussion. A motion
was mode by ,Tohn Young to accept Rob's recommendation, seconded by Vicki ¢onlin, with
Ted Throckmorton os the only opposing vote the motion carries.
~eff Aquatic Center Report_:
Aquatic/Recreation birector Sara Kraft handed out the ~Tune 200,5 report for review.
She noted flyer attached and' explained due to doily numbers decreasing after the fourth
of ,Tuly in efforts to promote the pool she is planning a "Christmas in ~Tuly" on Saturday
the 16th. There will be fun games with cool prizes during each safety check and free red
and green snow cones. Rob informed comparing this report to 2004 that pass soles were
down ~ little though monies collected has increased. He attributed the increase in monies
to the management of Sara Kraft and the new security system.
_Claim_s:
The ~Tune 2005 claims were distributed for review end approval. After some discussion it
was requested to have a breakdown of the 2005 P, iverStage costs. A motion was made by
Vicki ¢onlin to approve claims as distributed, seconded, by ,Tohn Young, carried
unanimously.

Superintendent's Report'
Rob discussed the following:
1. Public hearings ore official regarding Ken Ellis and Bob Hedge Pork.
2. $. Harlon Vogt pork- still waiting to hear from monument company.
3. Vissin9 Pork water line. Informed that okay was received from Steve Klein to
use easement and now waiting to hear from Indiana Water and Vectren.
4. Info~med that Robert (Bobby) Wilcoxson has been approved and will be full-
time employee effective ,luly 1, 2005.
5. b~edged bully's Londin~ before the Fourth of July weekend. At this time
Board member brought to Rob's attention that there is a hole in the. ramp. Rob
o$$ured he would ~et it token co~e of.
6. In process of receiving quOtes for o new mowe~.
7. Update on play feotu~e at ~the Aquatic Center. Lo$in~ pressure from float v~lve
in surge pit.
8. The new shelter at Wilcoxson Pork (AAeijer Fields)is completed. He informed
that ou~ maintenance staff completed the full p~oject in-house and commended
them on ~ fine job.
9. AAike Reynolds in maintenance will be ottendin~ Playground Safety Training.
lO. He spoke briefly on the 9roundbreakin9 for the new city offices at the
Quadrongle.
11. Carnegie Library building improvements. They have proposed to install
electrical box and remove poles.
12. He spoke regarding the Summer Playground Program and it's successful
association with the Character biscovery Challenge program out of Indy.
