Superintendent Rick Elliott addressed the board regarding refinishing of the main floor at
the Nachand Fieldhouse. He explained each summer we hove had this floor refinished but
through the years dead spots hove come to light and the floor needs more extensive work.
The work will be done by Martin Flooring, which has done this floor annually and have
always produced excellent work. He stated the wood floor would be taken completely down
to the bore wood, some boards will be replaced, and painted more to the original look and
should be gOOd for another 10 years. We could not get this scheduled through the summer
months and request approval to close the gym October 20th through the 29th. He
informed that signs hove been posted for our patrons and the basketball and volleyball
leagues hove been scheduled accordingly. Rick concluded this has been long time coming
and feels this timing works with the current Nachand Fieldhouse Banner project. After
some discussion o motion was mode by Sue Pfou to approve closing of the Nachand
Fieldhouse October 20-2gth to redo gym floor, seconded by .Tohn Ueding, carried
unanimously.

report. He noted copy of said report was in each member's packet for review. He

this is due to number of swim days and noted we were open 64 out of 79 possible swim
days due to weather conditions. Fie also explained these numbers do not include partial
days, meaning the pool opened then had to close due to weather. He stated it was not a
good summer for pools all around. After some discussion from the board a motion was

,Tohn Ueding, carried unanimously.
