HomeMy WebLinkAbout1998-R-31 RESOLUTION NO.~R ~/ RESOLUTION REGARDING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF TIlE KEYSTONE INDUSTRIAL PARK ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AREA WHEREAS, on July 29, 1998, the Jeffersonville Redevelopment Commission ("Commission"), adopted a declaratory resolution ("Declaratory Resolution") establishing Keystone Industrial Park Economic Development Area as an economic development area under IC 36-7-14 and confirmed the Declaratory Resolution on September 23, 1998, after conducting a public heating; and WItEREAS, IC 36-7-14-4 l(c) requires that the determination that a geographic area is an economic development area be approved by the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville ("Council"); and WHEREAS, the Council reviewed the Declaratory Resolution as confirmed, the Commission's Economic Development Plan approved by the Declaratory Resolution and the written order of the Jeffersonville Plan Commission approving the Declaratory Resolution and the Economic Development Plan; NOW, TIIEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana, that: 1. The Council hereby finds and determines that it will be in the City's best interest to establish the Keystone Industrial Park Economic Development Area as described in the Declaratory Resolution. 2. The establishment of the Keystone Industrial Park EconOmic Development Area as described in the Declaratory Resolution and in Exhibit A to the Declaratory Resolution is hereby approved. 3. This resolution shall be effective immediately upon its Passage and approval by the Mayor. ADOPTED by the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana, this day of October, 1998.
