HomeMy WebLinkAbout2006-R-1 ('l, , 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 o ( JI 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 35 36 37 38 39 40 41 42 43 r' \"'.,...;,~.;:/ RESOLUTIO~ NO. 2006-R-l BEFORE THE BUILDING AUTHORITY FOR THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE IN THE STATE OF INDIANA A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING OWNERSHIP OF CITY HALL FROM REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION WHEREAS, the Jeffersonville Building Authority (hereinafter called "Authority") is the body created by Ordinance No 2006-0R- j ~ to own, control and manage the property commonly called the city hall and more particularly described in attached Exhibit "A"; WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Commission for the City of Jeffersonville has adopted a resolution transferring its interest in the city hall to the authority; /,' WHEREAS, the Authority desires to fulfill its duties and obligations pursuant to Ordinance No. 2006-0R- ~f ; WHEREAS, the Authority further acknowledges the attached Memorandum of Understanding and further accepts its responsibilities and duties therein; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Authority, that it hereby accepts title and ownership to the city hall property and more particularly described in attached Exhibit "A". IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Authority acknowledges that the Redevelopment Commission shall execute a quit-claim deed upon the adoption of the attached Memorandum of Understanding and the fulfillment of those contingencies outlined in Resolution No. 2006.." R- j of the Redevelopment Commission; and IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Authority that it intends to enter into a written lease agreement with the City of Jeffersonville pertaining to the city's use of the city hall.
