RESOLUTION NO. 2007-R-~ BEFORE THE JEFFERSONVILLE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY FOR THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE IN THE STATE OF INDIANA A RESOLUTION CONVEYING A PARCEL OF REAL ESTATE BY DEED TO JEFFERSONVILLE DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT WHEREAS, the Jeffersonville Redevelopment Commission (hereinafter called "the Commission") is the statutory body within the city responsible for redevelopment of property; WHEREAS, the City owns the property west ofthe Northwest comer of 10th and Spring; (See attached Exhibit "A" for legal description.) WHEREAS, on September 14, 2005 the City and The Board of Trustees of Clark Memorial Hospital entered into an Agreement granting the City the option to market the property west of the Northwest comer of 10th and Spring; WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety ("BPW") believes it is in the best interest of the citizens and taxpayers of Jeffersonville that the City convey said property to the Commission; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Board of Public Works and Safety approves the conveyance of a Parcel of Real Estate By Deed to the Department of Redevelopment contingent upon any proceeds from the sale of the property be deposited into the General Fund of the City and that the Commission adopt an identical resolution accepting the property and agreeing to depositing said proceeds in the General Fund.
