OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
NOVEMBER 30, 2005
Mayor Waiz called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. and on call of the roll those members present were:
Councilperson Sellers and City Engineer Miller.
Also present were: Street Commissioner Ellis, Fire Chief Miles, Wastewater Treatment Director
Crawford, Planning and Zoning Director Hicks, Building Commissioner Segraves, Animal Shelter
Director Wilder, Vehicle Maintenance Director Drury, Parks Director Poff, Personnel Director Calabro,
Redevelopment Director Cahill, City Attorney Merkley and Deputy Clerk Mayfield.
Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the payroll, seconded by Councilperson Sellers
and carried unanimously.
Councilperson Sellers made the motion to approve the minutes of 11-2-05 and 11-9-05,
seconded by Engineer Miller and carried unanimously.
OLD BUSINESS
916 WALNUT STREET
Engineer Miller made the motion to give Pete Newsom the owner of the property at 916 Walnut Street
thirty more days to complete the remaining work, seconded by Councilperson Sellers and Carried
unanimously.
STREET CUT
Engineer Miller made the motion to approve the Watt Street street cut for the jail's sanitary sewer,
seconded by Councilperson Sellers and carded unanimously.
PAY REQUEST #5 FOR CITY HALL
Engineer Miller made the motidn to approve Pay Request #5 on the new City Hall in the amount of
$352,245.00, seconded by Councilperson Sellers and carded unanimously.
CHANGE ORDER #5
Councilperson Sellers made the motion to approve Change Order #5 in the amount of $27,000.00,
seconded by Engineer Miller and carded unanimously.
COMMENTS:
Street Commissioner Ellis said he is initiating a policy concerning hypodermic needles being disposed
of in puncture proof containers. An article will be published in the paper.
Animal Shelter Director Wilder thanked Engineer Miller for helper he sent out to the shelter.
Personnel Director Calabro said the last day for claims is December 12, 2005.
Parks Director Poff reminded everyone of Light Up Jeffon December 1, 2005 at 6:00 p.m.
Mayor Waiz said the dedication of the murals is scheduled for December 1, 2005 at 5:00 p.m.
Wastewater Treatment Director Crawford thanked Vehicle Maintenance Director Dmry for
straightening up the storage building at the plant.
