A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING CERTAIN AREAS
WITHIN THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVlLLE, INDIANA,
AS "ECONOMIC REVITALIZATION AREAS"
WHEREAS, it has been requested that certain areas within the City of Jeffersonville, Ind
(hereinafter "the City"), be designated as economic revitalization areas, pursuant to lC 6,1.1-12
seq.; and,
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana (hereinafter "the
Council), recognizes the need to stimulate growth and to maintain a sound economy within the
and,
WHEREAS, certain areas of the City are undesirable for, and/or impossible of, normal
development and occupancy because of a lack of development, cessation of growth, deteriorat
improvements or character of occupancy, age, obsolescence, substandard buildings or other f~
which have impaired values or prevented normal development of property or use of property;
WHEREAS, the Council realizes that incentives to local development in these under-utili
distressed areas would be in the best interest of the City; and,
WHEREAS, the Council further recognizes that it would be beneficial to designate certai
qualified areas within the City as economic revitalization areas for purposes of considering
deductions against the assessed value of property for real property tax purposes; and,
WHEREAS, the Council is vested with the authority to designate certain areas of the Cit
economic revitalization areas.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of tile City of Jefferso
Indiana, that:
1) Pursuant to lC 6-1.1-12.1, et. seq., the Keystone Industrial Park, as further describe(
Exhibit A is hereby declared and designated as an Economic Revitalization Area,
2) Pursuant to lC 6-1.1-12.1-2..5(b), a copy of this Resolution shall be filed with the Clar
County Assessor's office upon its passage.
3) Pursuant to lC 6-1.1-12.1-2.5(c), notice of the adoption and substance of this resoluti,
shall be published in accordance with lC 5-3-1.
4) Pursuant to lC 6-1.1-12.1-2.5(c), the Council shall hear all remonstrances and objecti
from interested persons at its regular meeting on April 5, 1999.

Description of Keystone Industrial Park Project
Economic Development Area
A part of Surveys No. 23, 35 and 36 of the Illinois Grant in .Ieffersonville and Utica Towns
'of Clark County, Indiana, being a part of the same tract conveyed to Koetter, Williams
Strange and bounded as follows:
Beginning at a northeasterly point in the existing boundary line of the City of ,l'effersonvi
Indiana, which is in the line of State Highway 62, thence the following courses:
Northeastwardly, 680 feet, more or less, with State Highway 62;
Northwestwardly, 1370 feet, more or less, through the right-of-way of 1-265;
Nort~eastwardly, 150 feet, more or less, to a point in the northerly right-of-way line of I-2~
which is the southerly line ora tract conveyed to Williams at Deed Record 227 page 11
North 19 deg. 58 min. 54 sec. East, 208.46 feet, more or less, across Williams to t
northeasterly line of Williams, which is the southwest line of a tract conveyed to Strar
