OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
MONDAY JUNE 3, 1996
Deputy Mayor Phil McCauley filled in for Mayor Galllgan in his absence
and called the meeting to Order at 9:35 A.M., and on call of the roll
those members present were: Personnel Director Harold Lakeman, and
Safety Director Anthony Harrod.
Also present were: City Engineer Bob Miller, Street Commissioner
George Trembly, City Attorney Anne Marie Sedwlck, Sewage Office
Manager Bob Goldman, Pollce Chief Mike Pavey, Fire Chief Mike Smiths
Assistant Fire Chief William Davis, Vehicle Maintenance Foreman Mike
Ewton, Animal Shelter Director Jim Gillenwater, Planning and
Development Director Jim Urban, Parks Superintendent Rick Elliott,
Wastewater Treatment Plant Manager Kendall Coleman, Wastewater
Treatment Plant Assistant Manager Joe Goergen, and Clerk Alice Davis.
Director Lakeman made the motion to approve the minutes of the meeting
of May 27, 1996 as presented, seconded by Director Harrod and carried
unanimously.
Director Lakeman made the motion to approve the payrolls as presented,
seconded by Director Harrod and carried unanimously.
CHANGING DATE FOR E. MAPLE STREET NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION
Planning and Development Director Jim Urban is requesting for the E.
Maple Street Neighborhood Association be moved to another block
instead of the 600 block of E. Maple Street. Also the date is June
15, 1996.
INFLUENT LOADINGS REPORT
Wastewater Treatment Plant Director Kendall Coleman presented a report
on Wastewater flows and loadings for the period of May 1995 through
April 1996. (see copy)
PERSONNEL MATTER
Street Commissioner George Trembly is requesting a pay increase of .50
per hour for Frank Clements who has completed 6 months on the 3ob and
the money is in the budget. Director Lakeman made the motion to
approve the pay increase of .50 for Frank Clements~ seconded by
Director Harrod, and carried unanimously.
NEIGHBORHOOD PROBLEM 1815 JAMES DRIVE REPORT
Police Chief Mike Pavey reported that he met with Robin Ramsey, 1815
James Drive and they have set up a blockwatch meeting for Tuesday at
8:00pm to help solve the problem. Officer Joe Grant and Assistant
Chief Marsh will attend it

OFFICER SUSPENDED
Police Chief Mike Pavey has suspended with pay Officer Joe Hubbard for
insubordination for three days and after the investigation then a
decision will be mad9 on what to do.
There being no further business to come before the Board of Public
Works and Safety, Director Lakeman made the motion to adjourn at
~9:50a.m~, seconded by Director Harrod, and carried unanimously.
