This is a very brief estimate of a sound system and installation on the "City of Jeffersonville
Riverstage Barge.. What we have done is a very loose analysis of the 2 pictures. list of
equipment as provided by you, and a brief on-site survey of the land. This is intended to be a
very "ball-park" type of estimate and will be considered as such until proper measurements
of the facility can be made.
What we are suggesting is a 40 channel sound system that contains enough power and
coverage to provide 102-106db to the area in front of the barge and fading to the upper
90db range at the top of the hill and distant seating to stage left. This includes the proper
speakers, rigging hardware, amp/ffication, mixing console (with flight case extra power supply
and miniature lights), and a 200 ft snake cable system to connect it all.
This will also include:
· 17 wireless headset sub-miniature microphones with rechargeable modules and charging
stations
. 4 Handheld wireless microphones
· Antenna systems for all wireless
· 6 individual monitor mixes with a combination of flown installed and wedged floor monitors
and all audio processing for proper sound and minimal feedback.
· 2 effects processors, 1 cd player, and a rack system for the mix position
· 5 handheld wired microphones, 6 microphone boom-stands and one kick drum rnic stand
· 4 Direct boxes. 50 ft 10 ch audio snake cable. a/ong with mlscelJaneous cabUng, hardware
and wiring for the system
· The labor for installing the system
Upon reviewing this request we estimate the cost of this system to be $98,000. Any and all
adjustments to these items will effect the estimated cost of the system. We highly suggest
that. if after reviewing these pmllminary figures you wish to proceed further then the proper
measurements should be taken and a more focused proposal will be given at that time.

UPDATES NEEDED:
1) Raise floor of barge to meet level of outer deck. The raised floor does not have to
extend into the hall leading to kitchen or into the restroom and power distribution
room.
2) Renovate upstairs into a meeting and.dressing room. Extend flooring for meeting
room. Dressing room would include counter tops and mirrors with proper
lighting to apply make-up and dress for the shows. Include a small-enclosed
changing area for performers. Add unisex restroom if plumbing is available.
3) Unisex restroom located in hall leading to kitchen.
4) Renovate outer restroom into a power distribution room. This room/area would
house lighting system dimmer racks, power amp racks for sound system, and
power distribution for barge itself. Needs to be secure from theft with dead bolt
locks. Install some sort of dog door for the cables to run thru.
5) Renovate a portion of the kitchen area into a production storage area. This would
be a room for overnight storage for lighting, sound, and band equipment needed
for performances. Brackets and shelving located on walls are needed for cable
and prop storage. Needs to be secure from theft with dead bolt locks. lIDs room
could also store equipment during the off-season. Phoenix Lighting is currently
storing all lighting. Keep a portion of the existing kitchen and renovate into a
workable kitchenette to include count(fr space, sink and refrigeration.
6) The outer railing located on the barge deck needs to be removable. Only the
sections located in front of stage or playing area and loading area need to be
removable. Keeping safety in mind, the railings could be removed 15 minutes
before show time and replaced at the conclusion of the performance. A system of
mounting that is easy and quickly executed is needed. Could be accomplished in
sections that slide in and out of a metal pocket.
7) Larger gangways or ramps are needed to load. scenery and equipment onto the
barge. The gangways/ramps need to be removed either by manpower or wrench
system for security matters.
8) Install a door for additional access to the interior of the barge.
9) Pour concrete on lowest level of Terrace Lawn. This would allow trucks to pull
up next to RiverStage to unload and load scenery and equipment for
productions/performances. Remove rails from front section of the Terrace Lawn
for better visibility of the stage area.
10) Paint the floor black and hang black curtains for walls. The curtains could be
pulled back or removed when not being used for theater productions. The black
will keep light from bouncing into areas it is not desired. Also keeps the audience
eye from wondering backstage or to any other part of the structure that would pull
focus from performance.
11) Install permanent work lights to deck and room areas of barge.
