AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE ZONING MAP DESIGNATION OF A
CERTAIN TRAc'~r OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2715 Charles~ Plke,
FROM R-2 to B-1 Jeffersonville, India/%a 4/1JU
Whereas, John Woehrle filed a petition before the
Jeffersonville Plan Commission to change the zoning map designation of the real
property described in the attached "Exhibit A" from g-2 to B-z ; and,
Whereas, on Feb=ua_W 24, 199~ the Jeffersonville Plan Commission has
certified its favorable recommendation of the enactment of this proposed zoning map
designation change by ordinance of this Common Council; and,
Whereas, this matter is now before the Common Council at its first ~egular
meeting after certification of the proposed change of zoning map designation pursuant
to the provisions of I.C. 36-7-4-608(0(1); and,
Whereas, this Common Council has timely posted notice of its intent to consider
the proposed change of zoning map designation at the regular meeting scheduled for
March _~. ~ ;~.~//r~ and,
Whereas, all interested persons having been given an opportunity to appear
before this Common Council and be heard regarding this matter as required by law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the CommOn Council of the City of
Jeffersonville, Indiana, that the zoning designation of the real property described in the
attached "Exhibit A" is hereby changed from. A-2 to B-Z.
IT IS FURTHER ORDAINED that the zoning map of the City of Jeffersonville
shall be amended to include such change.
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon its adoption.

Commencing ak an iron spike in the centerline of th~
New Albany and Charlestown Pike which marks the west
corner of Survey No. 21 of the Illinios Grant, thence
the following courses:
North'~54'deg. 46 min. 34 sec. East, 2841.51 feet
with said centerline, being the northwesterly line of
Survey No. 21, to an iron spike, the west corner of
Ralph Schowe's 3.542 acre lot, (Deed Record 275, page
335); South 61 deg. 14 min. 11 sec. East 484.72 feet
with the southwest line of said Schowe's lot to an iron
pipe, his south corner, which is the true place of
beginning.
Thence the following courses of the boundary:
North 54 deg. 46 min. 49 sec. East, 508.16 feet with
the southeasterly line of Schowe's land to an iron pipe,
the east corner of his 2.00 acre lot (Deed Record 268,
page 438); South 50 deg. 42 min. 46 sec. East, 626.27
feet with the southwesterly line of the Jeffersonville
School Township's 18.8 acre tract (Deed Record 246,
page 261) to an iron pipe; South 50 deg. 42 min. 46 sec.
East, 30.81 feet continuing with said School line to an
iron pipe in the center of the Jeffersonville and Charle
town Pike; South 21 deg. 09 min. 19 sec. West, 339.65 fe
with the center of said pike to an iron pipe; North 61
deg. 14 min. 11 sec.. West, 31.91 feet leaving said
centerline to an iron pipe;.No~th 61 deg. 14 min. 11
sec. West, 881.98 feet continuing thence with the north
line of a 29.745 acre tract to the true place of beginnin~
and containing 7.224 acres of land.

Whereas, after proper notice by publication, the Jeffersonville Plan Commission

Whereas, at the conclusion of the"hearing the Jeffersonville Plan Commission
voted by a majority vote of its entire membership to favorably/~
recommend the proposed change of zoning designation of the Property to the
Jeffersonville Common Council.
