Meeting Memorandum - August 10, 2004 - Mayor's Conference Room
6:00 p.m.
Meeting called to order by:
City Council President Phil McCauley
Attendees:
Councilpersons Sellers, Grooms, McCauley, Wilson. Fetz. Perkins, and Zastawney.
Clerk and Treasurer Peggy Wilder and Chief Deputy Suzy Bass.
Also present was
Agenda Item 1. Recap of Budget
President McCauley gave the Council a recap of everything the Departments have
requested. Clerk Treasurer Wilder went over the leases that the City currently has. She
also explained the Cum Cap Development and Cum Cap Improvement Funds.
Action: None taken
Agenda Item 2. Need to Raise Budget on Particular Items
Discussion was held on different line items that are not currently budgets adequately.
Among them are Gasoline in Vehicle Maintenance, Sanitation, and MVH and the Electric
and other utilities in the Parks Depar~mem.
Action: None taken
Agenda Item 3. Health Insurance
Councilpergon Zastawny gave the Council a report on the Health Insurance Fund
'Action: None Taken
Agenda Item 4. Salaries vs. Positions
Discussion was held on employee salaries versus positions.
Action: No objections.
The Council decided to meet on September 8, 2004 and September 13. 2004 if needed.
Council President McCauley asked the Clerk Treasurer's Office to refigure salaries and
benefits at 2 V2 % and also au 3%.
There being no other items of discussion, the meeting was adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
