V~HE~EAS, the Plan Commission of the City of Jeffersonvill% Indiana,
has recommended that the Jeffersonville Zoning Ordinance be amended,
N0~V~ T~EFORE, BE IT_ GRDAI~ by the Common Council of the City of
Jeffersonvill% Indiana, that Ordinance No. 1~27 (Zor~ing Ordinance) be amended
as follows:
1. Section l~, Residential Uses and Requirements, Subsection B,
P~ovisions and Exceptions to Residential Uses (~) Accessory Buildings and Uses,
to be amended by adding: (d) Fences~ latticework screens, hedges, shrubs or
walls not more than forty-eight (~8) inches in height may be located in any front
yard.
2o Section 14, Residential Uses and Requirements, Subsection B,
Provisions and .Exceptions to Residential Uses (h) Accessory Buildings and Uses,
(b) to be amended to read as follows: No accessory building shall be located
closer to a side or rear lot line than three (3) feet nor exceed eighteen (18)
feet in height and, excluding garages, shall be set back from the front line of
the lot at least seventy-five (7~) feet in R-1 and R-2 Districts, and forty (40)
feet in other Districts.
3. Section 5, Definitions, 24, 2round Floor Area, to be amended by
deleting the words '~and interior".
~.. Section 20, Non-Conforming Use Specifications, Subsection D~ to
be amended to read as follows: The Building Conn~dssioner may authorized, by
written permit, in a District for a period of not more than one (1) year from
date of such permit, a temporery building or trailer for commercial or industrial
use incidental Do the construction and developmenv of said District°
~. Section 2~, Filing Fees, Subsection E~ to be changed to Subsection
F. Subsection E to read as follows: For· each application for a contingent use,
thirty (30) feet in length, and is entirely open on the sides facing the front
and side l~t lines, except for the necessary supporting colu~as and customary
architectural feat~es$ provided, however, said porte cochere does not extend
within~, three (3) feet of a side lot line including overhangs and gutters.
Except, however, on a corner lot a porte cochere may not extend into the side
yard on the street side of the principal building.

and Exceptions to Residential Uses, to be amended by adding Subsection (8)
}~obile Homes to read as follows: ~obile Homes may be located only in a duly
licensed ~obile Home Park.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a meeting of the Common Council of the City
of Jeffersonville, Indiana, this 2nd day of April, 1962.
