WHEREAS, the City of Jeffersonville has successfully
withstood the most sever flood in 19 years, and,
WHEREAS, the City was for the most part protected by its
floodwall and suffered very little damage, and,
WHEREAS, the successful operation of the floodwall was
due to the efforts of William Go3a~e, Engineer of the Jeffersonville Flood
Control District and his staff and Shea Ze~nor, City Engineer and his staff.
WHEREAS, these men and departments worked diligently for
many hours without sleep.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of
the City of Jeffersonville, h~diana:
That William Goyne and his staff; and Shea Zenor and his staff,
be and are hereby formally advised of the gratful appreciation of the City
of Jeffersonville, and of its citizens for a job we~l done.
Adopted by the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville,
hadiana, this 4th day of IV~ay, 1964.
