HomeMy WebLinkAbout1968-OR-08 ORDINANCE NO. ~C~- f An Ordinance Rezoning Certain Properties From R-1 Residential to R-2 Residential; R-1 Residential and BSC Business Shopping Center to $-2 Residential; R-1 Residential and BSC Business Shopping Center to B-2 Service Business BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana, that the zoning ordinance, being Ordinance No. 1527, be amended in that the properties hereinafter described is reclassified and rezoned as follows: From R-i, Residential, to R-2, Residential: Part of Survey No. 3 of the Illinois Grant, being a tract of land on the Middle Road about one mile east of Port Fulton, described as follows, to-wit: Beginning in the cen- ter of the Middle Road 1810 feet northeastwardly from ~ere the original western line of Illinois Grant No. 3 crosses the center of the Middle Road and the corner of the land of Kate E. Ridge!y; thence running N. 42 3/4° E. 244 4/5 feet to a stake; thence S. 37 1/2° Eo 1821 1/2 feet to a stake; thence S. 42 3/4° W. 244 4/5 feet to the land of Kate E. Ridgely; thence with the land of Kate E. Ridgely's tract N. 37 1/2° W. 1821 1/2 feet to the center of the Middle Road, the point of beginning, containing 10.088 acres, more or less. From R-i, Residential, and BSC, Business Shopping Center: to Residential: Being part of Survey No. 3 of the Illinois Grant bounded thus: Beginning at a point in the center of the Middle Road 1810 feet eastwardly of the original western line of Illinois Grant No.3; running thence along the Middle Road N. 42 3/4° E. 612 feet to Coots' line; thence with the western line of said Coots' tract N. 37 1/2° W. 500 feet to the true place of beginning; thence con- tinuing N. 37 1/2° W. 1433 feet to a corner of this tract and Coots in the northern line of Illinois Grant No. 3; thence with the northern line of Illinois Grant No. 3, S. 53° 20' W. 600 1/2 feet to a point, corner of this tract and the land set apart to Kate E. Ridgely; thence along the line common to this tract and Kate E. Ridgely's tract S. 37 1/2° E. 1546 1/2 feet to the point 500 feet from the center of Middle Road; thence N. 42 3/4° E. and parallel with Middle Road 612 feet to the true place of beginning. From R-I, Residential, and BSC, Business Shopping Center, to B-2, Service Business: Being part of Survey No. 3 of the Illinois Grant bounded thus: Beginning at a point in the center of the Middle Road 1810 feet eastwardly of the original western line of Illinois Grant No. 3; running thence along Middle Road N. 42 3/4° E. 612 feet to the southwest corner of Edwin W. Coots' Farm, also being the south- west corner of Lot No. 1 of Subdivision No. 3 of Della Plains Farm shown in Plat Book 4, page 11;. thence continuing along the center of Middle Road N. 40° E. 155.2 feet to a nail; thence N. 38° 04t W. 420.1 feet to a stake; thence S. 68° 36' W. 163.5 feet to a stake in the southwest line of said Lot No. 1 of said s~b- division; thence S. 42 3/4° W. and parallel with Middle Road 612 feet; thence S. 37 1/2° E. 500 feet to the point of beginning. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
