IN~OIANA, AUTHORIZING TH~ ~ILING OE TH£ CITY O~ g~EERSONVILL£'S
COMPREHENSIVE COY~NITY DEVELOPMER~ SMALL CITIES PROGRAM APPLICATION
I~HERFAS, under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act
of 1974, as amended, the Secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban
Development is authorized to extend financial assistance to cities, towns,
and smaller urban ccm~nunities for the development of viable urban communities
by providing decent housing and suitable living environment and expanding
economic opportunities, principally for persons of low and moderate income; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Jeffersonville Department of Redevelopment, the
agency responsible for developing and administering the City of Jeffersonville's
Community Development Program, is preparing the City of Jeffersonville's
Comprehensive Community Development SmaI] Cities Program Application.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TI~ COSB~ON COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF
JEFFERSONVILLE, IN, DIANA:
1. That the City of Jeffersonville Department of Redevelopment is
authorized to file the City of Jeffersonville's Comprehensive
Community Development Small Cities Program Application with the
Department of Housing and Urban Development, including all under-
standings and assurances contained within said applications.
2. That Mayor Richard L. Vissing, as the Chief Executive Officer, is
designated as the authorized representative of the applicant to
act in cormection with the applications and to provide any additional
information that may be required.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk-Treasurer of said City of Jeffer-
sonville, Indiana, is hereby ordered and directed to give notice as provided
by law.
Adopted by the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana,
