ADMINI'STRATIVERE'SOURCES AS'S~CIATION
WHEREAS, the Mayor brought before the Common Council of the
City of Jeffersonville the matter of the membership by the City in
the Administrative Resources Association, and the claim of such
Association for the sum of $5,593.00 as a fee for such membership, and,
WHEREAS, after discussion the Council concluded that due to
the fact that it is necessary that the City being a member of the
Kentuckiana Regional Planning (KIPDA) & Development Agency in order to
qualify for Federal Funds, and,
WHEREAS, the Council further concluded that is is necessary
that the City participate and belong to River Hills Planning Commission
which is a State Organization and the State, as one of it's require-
ments, has included Clark County in such Region, and,
WHEREAS, the KIPDA requires that Jeffersonville participate
and be a part of KIPDA, and,
WHEREAS, the City of Jeffersonville has and funds it's own
Department of Redevelopment, that the participation and membership
in the Administrative Resources Association is not necessary and would
achieve no additional assistance for the City of Jeffersonville.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council that the
City of Jeffersonville withdraw from participation with the Admini-
strative Association and ,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor is authorized and
directed to so notify such Association.
