WHEREAS, the Town of utica is in the process of annexing
certain territory which is particularly described in Exhibit "A",
attached hereto, and,
WHEREAS, the consent of the City of Jeffersonville is required
by statute in order for such annexation to be affected, and
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City has concluded that
it is in the best interest of the citizens of both Jeffersonville
and Utica to give such consent,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the consent of the
City of Jeffersonville, to the T®wn of utica to annex the land
described particularly in Exhibit "A" hereof is hereby given.

Beginning at'.~ne intersection of the Southwest line of Survey #7
of the Illinois Grant to Clark County, Indiana and the low water n~rk
of the Ohio River; Thence in a Northerly direction upstream with said
iow water mark, same being the line dividing Indiana and Kentucky, 3700
feet, more or less, to the Southernmost corner of the"Goodwin Farms~'

Thence N. 40°W., to the centerline of Utica Pike; Thence in a South-
erly direction along said cente~line 1350 feet, more or less, to the West-
