HomeMy WebLinkAbout2000-R-31B RESOLUTION NO. 2000-R- ~ I~' ~ A RESOLUTION FOR PLACEMENT OF WELCOME SIGNS MARKING JEFFERSONVILLE AS COMMUNITY OF THE YEAR WHEREAS, the City of Jeffersonville was named 2000 Community of the Year by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce. WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville believes this is a great honor bestowed on the city. WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville further believes it is important that the city promotes the honor it has received. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville, that the city shall post signs at the entrance of the city indicating that the city is the 2000 Community of the Year by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce. IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, that these signs shall be posted where there are currently welcome to Jeffersonville signs.
