WHEREAS, the Jeffersonville Economic Commission has rendered a recommendation designation of a specific geographic territory City of Jeffersonville territory as an economic Development the within the City of Jeffersonville as an Economic Development Target Area as defined 1 I.C. 36-7-12-2: WHEREAS, the Jeffersonville Commission has adopted a resolution Economic ~ Development finding that certain territory located in the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana, has become undesirable or impossible for normal development and occupancy because of a lack of development, cessation of growth, deterioration of improvements or character cf occupancy, age, obsolescence, substandard buildings, and other factors that ha.ye impaired values and prevent a normal development of property: and WHEREAS, the c~mmon : Council is authorized b~' i~C. certain geographic territory as an Economic Development Targe~ Area. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE: Section contained in 1. It is hereby found that the geographic area the recommendation and Resolution of the jeffersonville EcOnomic Development Commission c~mplies with the definition and provisions of I.C. 36-7-12-2. Section 2. The City of jeffersonville, pursuant to the authority set forth in I.C. 36-7-12-38, hereby designates the following specific geographic territory located within the City of jeffersonville, Indiana, an Economic Development Target Area, to-wit: See Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof. Section 3. The provisions of this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the date of this Ordinance. Approved the 10th day of December, 1984.
