This area is totally developed and can be served
by the jeffersonville Sewage System, and water is being
supplied by the Indiana Cities Water Corporation- The
annexed area can be better protected with Police prctec-
tion, Fire protection, traffic control and/or street
lighting by annexation. The following are reasons why
the City wishes to annex the proposed area:
a. The annexation would promote the growth of the City.
Growth is important because it allows for the minimi-
zation of utility and facility costs, coordinating
e~ficient provisions for housing community facilities,
and for utilization of the land while protecting
its natural resources. The annexation would also
create a more uniform and compact City boundary.
b. Urbanization is expected to occur in this area,
making this area a vita] length to future growth
and development.

community of jeffersonville. The residents

immediate solid waste collection servicing the annexed area.

will provide street lighting if it is necessary in the area. utilities
The Indiana Cities Water Corporation is currently serving
the proposed annexation area. This is the same scurce used
by similar areas of the City. The area can be served with
sewers by the jeffersonville Sewage Department in the reasonably
near future and the Petition For Annexation waives the right
to file complaint against the City for failure to provide this
service in the event tha~ it cannot be provided. Financial Summary
AS a result of the fact that there will be additional
services required by the municipality, all tax revenues will
become an addition to the City's income and will therefore
be an immediate asset to the City.

City and the City has been petitioned to annex the area. Therefore,
