ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 152 OF THE JEFFERSONVILLE CITY CODE
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City
of Jeffersonville, Indiana, that Chapter 152 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Jeffersonville shall be amended
by the addition of the following:
1.
The provisions of Chapter 152, Paragraph 152.05,
of the City Code as it relates to non-historic build-
ings or any buildings adjacent to historic buildings,
shall not apply to any area which is outside the
Original Historic District as designated in Ordinance
No. 84-OR-100 which was codified as Section 152.02.
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval and proper public notice.

The Co.on Council of the City of Jeffersonville met mn reEular session.in the City-
County Building in the 21ark County Court Room Jeffersonville Indiana on the 5th lay of
May, 1986 at 7:30 o'clock P.b
The meeting was called ~o order ~y Mayor Dale Orem presiding and Clerk-Treasurer C.
Richard Spencer, Jr. at the desk.
The roll was called and those present were Councilmen Grooms Shrewsberry, waiz Per-
kins, Potter, Weidner and Allen
The minutes of the meeting Of April 19. 1986 wer~ $¢esented for approval. Councilman
Weidner made a motion that the min'..es be a~oroved ~nd ~-cepted as presented, seconded by
Councilman Allen and passed unanimoust~ .
Mayor Orem presented to Sergeant Clifford Lindsey of the Jeffersonville Police Depart-
~ent the Mayor,s Service Award for the excellent job he has do~e as leader of the K-S Depart-
ment of the City, as well as achieving the designation of baster Trailer which he is 1 oil
1E throughout the United States. He has trained many Officers and has contributed much to
the surrounding communities in helping them establish and maintain M-9 Units. bayer Orem
stated he has received many letters complimenting Officer Lindsey on his teaching ability,
and in Mayor Orem's opinion he is the number one Canine Officer in the State of Indiana,
him for his performance beyond the call of duty.

~ayor Orem introduced Mr. Spencer Harmon, an Attorney with Wystt, Tarrant, Combs &
Orbison of New Albany, Indian~, who addressed the Council on behalf of a Clark County Cable-
vision transfer to Insight Con~nun~cations. br ~ichael /~itlner, President of Insight Com-
munications, then addressed the Council requesting the transfer and answered many questions
asked by the various Councilmen. After both presentations were completed there was much
general discussion among the members of the Council re~arding said transfer. Councilman
Grooms then introduced Resolution No. 86-R-15, A Resolution Concerning the Sale of Clark
County Cablevision, and made a motion that said Resolution be passed with a change in the
Resolution stating that the current contract shall be restricted to one renewal option of
S years. The motion was seconded by Councilman Pott~r and at this time Councilman Perkins
requested a roll call vote. The following roll call vote was recorded:
Ayes: Councilmen Shrewsberry, Allen, ~e~dner, Grooms and Potter.
Nays: Councilman Perkins.
Abstention: Councilman Waiz.
Resolution NO. 8g-R-iS was passed on a vote of 5 ~n favor of, 1 against and 1 absten-
tion.
