BEFORE THE COMMON COUNCIL
FOR THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING
THE POLICE SECURITY CAMERA NON-REVERTING FUND
WHEREAS, the City of Jeffersonville (the "City") utilizes cameras for security
purposes in various departments; and
WHEREAS, there is a need to create a non-reverting fund for purposes of depositing,
expending and disbursing funds for the payment of costs and expenses related to security
cameras utilized by the City; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of
Jeffersonville, Indiana, as follows:
1. That a special non-reverting operating fund is hereby established for the purpose
of receiving and holding funds for the payment of expenditures related to security
cameras utilized by the City. This fund shall be entitled "The Police Security
Camera Non-Reverting Fund" and monies may be expended from this fund only
upon the filing of a proper claim in issuance of a warrant for payment by the
Controller after appropriation and approval by the Common Council. The funds
collected shall be used by the Jeffersonville Police Department for any and all
expenses related to the installation, maintenance and operation of security cameras
utilized by the City.
2. That the Common Council is hereby required to use the Non-Reverting Fund to
the extent and in the manner allowed by law and consistent with this Ordinance.
