We gather to celebrate the heart of our department, the men and women who choose to serve every day with courage, compassion, and integrity. In moments of uncertainty, they bring calm; in time of danger, they bring hope. Their actions often quiet, sometimes heroic, remind us that service is not a job, but a calling. PROFESSIONAL ESTEEM AWARDS The Professional Esteem Award is awarded to officers or employees in recognition of their exemplary performance of duty, a service,or project and in doing so have earned the esteem of their fellow employees at the Jeffersonville Police Department and the citizens of our community. The 2025 recipients have continued JPD's tradition of excellence, and we would like to take this opportunity to recognize the following employees for receiving their award. Detectives Cody Richardson and Christopher Beahl have been instrumental in establishing the Digital Forensics Unit at JPD and initiating JPD's involvement with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force alongside of the Indiana State Police. They have successfully led high-level Internet Crimes Against Children investigations, coordinated department-wide resources in these investigations, analyzed and interpreted digital evidence, and delivered courtroom testimony, directly contributing to successful case outcomes on these investigations and other major crime cases. Detective Richardson and Beahl exemplify the highest standards of JPD. They are unable to be here tonight as they are out working on an ICAC detain in Kentucky right now. We recognize their dedication and commitment to JPD. INSTRUCTOR OF THE YEAR We want to recognize Corporal Greg Odle for his hard work and meaningful contributions to the JPD Training Division's mission for several years, taking on additional responsibilities and certifications each year to become an increasingly valuable asset to our agency. He has the high standards, but applies them with a laid-back demeanor that puts students at ease and fosters a positive learning environment.
