FOR THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE

RESOLUTION APPROVING THE TRANSFER/SALE OF CERTAIN
PROPERTY TO OTHER GOVERNMENTAL ENTITIES (SURPLUS
VEHICLES)
WHEREAS,the City owns certain motor vehicles as described below.
WHEREAS, the City has determined that said motor vehicles are surplus property;
WHEREAS,the Board of Public Works and Safety ("BPW") is a purchasing agency
as defined by Indiana law for the purposes of acquiring and disposing of certain property
including motor vehicles;
WHEREAS,the City desires to transfer said motor vehicles to other governmental
entities as permitted under I.C. 5-22-22-10;
WHEREAS,the City believes it is in the best interest of the citizens and taxpayers
of Jeffersonville that the City transfer the ownership of said motor vehicles to other
governmental entities.
NOW,THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Board of Public
Works and Safety that title to said motor vehicles shall be transferred from the City of
Jeffersonville to the governmental entities as follows:

WHEREAS,the Town of Borden shall pay the City of Jeffersonville$7,500.00 per
vehicle for the above two (2)vehicles, for a totally of$15,000.00 and this transfer shall be as
is,no warranty included and no additional promise in regards to the two (2) said vehicles.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the BPW approves the transfer of title of said
motor vehicles to the aforementioned governmental entities contingent upon the
appropriate governmental entity adopting an identical resolution accepting and transferring
titles to said motor vehicles.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of Jeffersonville or his
designated agent is hereby authorized to execute any and all
documents to effectuate the transfer. Approved and adopted this a41-1: day of

A RESOLUTION OF THE BORDEN TOWN COUNCIL ACCEPTING THE
TRANSFER/SALE OF CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM OTHER GOVERNMENTAL
ENTITIES (SURPLUS VEHICLES)
WHEREAS,the Town Council of the Town of Borden,Indiana("Council") is the legislative body
of the Town of Borden, Indiana("Town");
WHEREAS, the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana("City") owns certain motor vehicles as described
below;
WHEREAS,the City has determined that said motor vehicles are surplus property;
WHEREAS, the City's Board of Public Works and Safety ("BPW") is a purchasing agency as
defined by Indiana law for the purposes of acquiring and disposing of certain property including
motor vehicles;
WHEREAS, the Council is a purchasing agency as defined by Indiana law for the purposes of
acquiring and disposing of certain property including motor vehicles;
WHEREAS, the City desires to transfer said motor vehicles to the Town as permitted under I.C.
5-22-22-10;
WHEREAS, the BPW adopted Resolution No. 2026-R-1 on January 21, 2026, which approved
transferring title to said motor vehicles from the City to the Town;
WHEREAS, the Town desires to accept the transfer of ownership of said motor vehicles from the
City as permitted under I.C. 5-22-22-10; and
WHEREAS, the Town believes it is in the best interest of the citizens and taxpayers of the Town
that the Town accepts the transfer of ownership of said motor vehicles from the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Borden, Indiana
as follows:
Section 1. The Council, on behalf of the Town, hereby accepts title to and transfer of
the following motor vehicles from the City:

Section 2. The Town shall pay the City $7,500.00 per vehicle for the above two (2)
vehicles, for a total of$15,000.00, and this transfer shall be as is, no warranty included, and no
additional promises regarding the two (2) said vehicles.
