BEFORE THE COMMON COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF JEFFERSOVILLE
STATE OF INDIANA
AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE RIVER RIDGE POLICE NON-REVERTING FUND AS DORMANT
AND TRANSFERRING SAID FUNDS TO THE GENERAL FUND
WHEREAS, the City Council is the fiscal body for the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana pursuant to
Indiana Code;
WHEREAS, the City of Jeffersonville has previously adopted 2025-OR-6 entitled, "An Ordinance
Establishing the River Ridge Police Non-Reverting Fund" to receive funds for additional police protection
services within the River Ridge Commerce Center;
WHEREAS, the agreement to provide additional police protection services within the River Ridge
Commerce Center was terminated upon the adoption of 2025-R-14;
WHEREAS, the agreement further stated the City of Jeffersonville shall retain any balance of
unexpended funds for the additional police protection services,which were deposited into the River Ridge
Police Non-Reverting Fund, to be used for whatever purposes the City deems permissible;
WHEREAS, the Common Council now considers the River Ridge Non-Reverting Fund dormant in
that its intended purpose has been fulfilled but said fund holds an unused and unencumbered balance.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT ORDIANED that the River Ridge Police Non-Reverting Fund established
pursuant to 2025-OR-6 is hereby declared dormant.
IT IS FURTHER ORDAINED that pursuant to IC 36-1-8-5 the City Fiscal Officer is hereby directed to
transfer the unused and unencumbered balance to the general fund.
SO ORDAINED by the Common Council for the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana on this /7 day

BEFORE THE COMMON COUNCIL
FOR THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING
THE RIVER RIDGE POLICE NON-REVERTING FUND
WHEREAS,the City of Jeffersonville (the"City") and the River Ridge Development
Authority (the "Authority") have entered into an agreement for the City to provide additional
police protection services within the River Ridge Commerce Center; and
WHEREAS, the Common Council for the City of Jeffersonville (the "Council)'
adopted Resolution No. 2025-R- 3 approving and ratifying the agreement; and;
WHEREAS, the agreement, among other things, requires the Authority to make
certain payments to the City for purposes of paying for additional police protection services
within the River Ridge Commerce Center; and;
WHEREAS, it is economically desirable to create a non-reverting fund for deposit.
expenditure and disbursement of those funds received from the Authority pursuant to the
agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of
Jeffersonville, Indiana, as follows:
1. That a special non-reverting operating fund is hereby established for the purpose
of receiving and holding funds received from the River Ridge Development
Authority pursuant to the Police Services Agreement ratified and approved by
Resolution No. 2025-R- '� . This fund shall be entitled The River Ridge
Police Non-Reverting Fund" and monies may be expended from this fund only
upon the filing of a proper claim in issuance of a warrant for payment by the
Controller after appropriation and approval by the Common Council. The funds
collected shall be used by the Jeffersonville Police Department for any and all
expenses related to additional police protection services within the River Ridge
Commerce Center.
2. That the Common Council is hereby required to use the Non-Reverting Fund to
the extent and in the manner allowed by law and consistent with this Ordinance.
