AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AN NON-REVERTING FUND FOR THE
JEFFERSONVILLE TREE BOARD
WHEREAS, the Common Council for the City of Jeffersonville ("Council") is the legislative body
for the City of Jeffersonville ("City"); and
WHEREAS, the City of Jeffersonville's City Council has authorized the establishment of the
Jeffersonville Tree Board in order to promote the City's urban forestry needs and enhance the
City's urban tree canopy for the benefit of its residents, and
WHEREAS, the Jeffersonville Tree Board, from time to time, will need access to monetary
resources for the continuation of its mission, and
WHEREAS, the Jeffersonville Tree Board, from time to time, will collect donations, program
fees, grant money, and other non-tax sources of income and will need a place to store such
income for disbursement,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville,
Indiana hereby establish a special non-reverting fund for the deposit, expenditure and
disbursement of funds designated for the activities of the Jeffersonville Tree Board. This fund
shall be entitled the "Jeffersonville Tree Board Non-Reverting Fund" and be overseen by a
designated City Staff member of the tree board. Such funds, thereby, shall not be required to be
received into the general fund of the City. The Tree Board shall oversee use of the said non-
reverting fund, subject to the final approval of the Common Council and subject to the regular
rules and procedures concerning the Common Council's approval of claims and approval of
appropriations as provided by Indiana Code and otherwise provided by Indiana law.

AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AN NON-REVERTING FUND FOR THE
JEFFERSONVILLE TREE BOARD
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the Common
Council and approval by the Mayor.
