September 4, 2025
CALL TO ORDER: The regular meeting for September 4, 2025, Fire Merit Commission was called to order by
Commissioner McCormick at 6:00 P.M.
ROLL CALL: The roll call was conducted and those present were Commissioners Troy McCormick, Donovan Sims,
Sam Smith and Thomas Spalding. Brooke Valentine was absent.
COMMISSION STAFF:
Fire Administrative Assistant Anne Langley and Stenographer Cindy Seifert
MINUTES: Commissioner Smith made the motion to approve the minutes from August 7, 2025, seconded by
Commissioner Sims, passes on a vote of 4-0.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Commissioner Sims made the motion to approve the Agenda, seconded by
Commissioner Spalding, passes on a vote of 4-0.
CLAIMS: None
BUSINESS: None
ATTORNEY REPORT: Not in attendance
REPORT FROM LOCAL 558 UNION: Not in attendance
REPORT ADMINISTRATION: Anne Langley advised the Commissioner's that there will be a Recruit Graduation
on September 18th at 5:00pm at Fire headquarters and all are invited to attend.
FIRE MERIT COMMISSION COMMENTS: No Comments
ADJOURNMENT:
With no further business before the Commission, Commissioner McCormick made the motion to ADJOURN,
seconded by Commissioner Smith, passes on a vote of 4-0. Meeting adjourned at 6:02 P.M.
