MINUTES
September 24,2025

PRESENT(VIRTUAL):

CALL TO ORDER Mayor Mike Moore called the meeting to order at 9:32 a.m. in the Mayor's Conference
Room in City Hall. The meeting was held in person and streamed on the City's Website. Rob Waiz and
Andy Crouch served on the board.
APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Mr. Crouch made the motion to approve the minutes from Ma/28, 2025.
Mr. Waiz seconded the motion; motion passed, 3-0.
APPROVAL OF PAYROLL: Mr. Waiz made the motion to approve the payroll. Mr. Crouch seconded the
motion; motion passed, 3-0.
OLD BUSINESS:
Hearing none
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Les Merkley/Larry Wallace—Hearing for 2305 Middle Rd.,Jeffersonville, IN
The owner is here, Ms.Teresa Shaw, I believe she has estimates to have tree cut and structure
removed, says Larry Wallace. Yes, we need to continue this matter for 60 days to allow Ms.
Shaw to have the work completed, Ms. Shaw you will need to reappear on Wednesday,
December 3, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. Mr. Waiz makes motion to continue to December 3, 2025 at
9:30 a.m., seconded by Mr. Crouch, motion passed 3-0.
2. Josh Darby—Approve contract with City of Jeff and Jacobi,Toombs, and Lanz
This is our yearly dredging permit contract for Duffy's Landing, need to have it approved. Mr.
Crouch makes motion to approve contract, seconded by Mr. Waiz, motion passed 3-0.

3. Len Ashack—Road Closure on Court Avenue from Wall St to Walnut St.
We are needing to close Court Avenue from Wall Street to Walnut Street on Sunday, October 5,
2025 from 6:00 a.m.to 6:00 p.m. for replacement of 2 catch basins in front of Post Office. Mr.
Waiz makes motion to approve closure, seconded by Mr. Crouch, motion passed 3-0.
Thank you for doing this work on a day with less traffic, says Mayor Moore.
4. Scott McVoy—Approval of police department policy changes/additions
In front of you,you have two policy changes/additions regarding unmanned aerial system and
break periods, both of the items have been posted for ten days as required and F.O.P. has no
issues. Mr. Crouch makes motion to approve, seconded by Mr. Waiz, motion passed 3-0.
5. Kim Calabro—Approval to hire operations coordinator at animal shelter
The animal shelter's operations coordinator has left the City and Kristie would like to fill this
position. Mr. Crouch makes motion to approve filling position, seconded by Mr. Waiz, motion
passed 3-0.
6. Brian Smith—Approve contract with City of Jeff and Johnson Controls
This is annual inspection of fire extinguishers for all City buildings, and I have the money in my
budget. Mr. Crouch makes motion to approve contract, seconded by Mr. Waiz, motion passed
3-0.
7. Josh Darby—Approval for pedestrian signal at Allison Lane
This is a contract to place a pedestrian signal at Allison Lane and Wooded Way, money is in
Engineer budget. Mr. Waiz made motion to approve sign, seconded by Mr. Crouch, motion
passed 3-0.
