The meeting was held in person and streamed on the City's Website. Rob Waiz and Andy Crouch served on the board. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Nothing at this time APPROVAL OF PAYROLL Nothing at this time OLD BUSINESS: Nothing at this time NEW BUSINESS: 1. Les Merkley/Larry Wallace—Hearing on 315 Knoblock Av.,- Donna Sue Meriwether Les Merkley- Mr. Wallace is it your recommendation the garage structure should be demolished?Yes it is. Les Merkley- Is Ms. Meriwether here or someone representing her here? Yes, I am here says Ms. Meriwether. Les Merkley—Do you have anything you would like to say? Ms. Meriwether—not a lot I can say,the neighbor's tree fell through the roof and I was told it was my responsibility to get it removed and haven't been able to do that, so there is a full tree in there. Les Merkley—Do you agree, garage needs to be torn down? Ms. Meriwether—Yes I do Les Merkley—Do you feel structure is unsafe? Ms. Meriwether—Yes I Mr. Merkley—Mr. Wallace, as Building Commissioner, do you feel it needs to be taken down? Larry Wallace—yes I do. Les Merkley—My recommendation would be to make a motion to deem structure unsafe and order demolished after 10 days from today, with fees to be paid per agreement with Building Commissioner's office. So moved said Rob Waiz, seconded by Andy Crouch, motion carries 3-0. 2. Amber Ridings- Approval of Special Events Rolling' on the River—May 30, 2026 from 2:00 p.m.—7:00 p.m. at Big 4 Station Park, Southwest quad. Pops in the Park—October 1, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. @ Big 4 Station Park. Monster's Ball—October 24 or 25, 2025 from 6:00 p.m.—10:00 p.m. at Nachand Fieldhouse. Mr. Waiz makes motion to approve events, seconded by Andy Crouch, motion carries 3-0. 3. Len Ashack—Approval of Road Closure Road closure on Nachand Lane from 10' Street to Ellwanger Av beginning September 15, 2025 at 7:00 a.m. and ending by 5:00 p.m. on September 16, 2025. Road will be closed to thru traffic but open to local traffic with a detour in place. Mr. Crouch makes motion to approve road closure, seconded by Mr. Waiz, motion carries 3-0. 4. Brian Smith—Approval of contract I am asking for approval of contract with Federal Field Services for the annual preventative maintenance inspection agreement for outdoor warning sirens. I do have the money in my budget. Mr. Waiz makes motion to approve contract, seconded by Mr. Crouch, motion carries 3-0. 5. Kevin Morlan—Request to attend Street Commissioner's conference I would like to attend annual Street Commissioner's conference in Plymoth, Indiana September 23-25, 2025, I do have money in my budget. Mr. Crouch makes motion to approve attendance, seconded by Mr. Waiz, motion carries 3-0.
