ORDINANCE REGARDING LONGEVITY PAY FOR POLICE OFFICERS
IN THE CIT2f~.OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA
WHEREAS, it has been the practice Of' the City of
jeffersonville to pay all police officers on its payroll
longevity pay of one percent (1%) of base pay for each year of
service up to a maximum of
such base pay; and
WHEREAS, Indiana State
twenty (20) years in addition to
Board of Accounts requires such
financial arrangements and co~mnitments on behalf of the City of
jeffersonville, Indiana, to its police officers to be
memorialized by written ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED 'by the

upon its timely passage, promulgation and approval by the
Mayor, and shall supersede all ordinances now in effect
regarding longevity pay for'police officers.
