OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA

requirement established by the Indiana State Board of Health and
passing the State Examination for Municipal Wastewter Plant Operator
Certification may receive $.85 per hour per certification level
obtained with a limit of ten (10) employees and approval of the Board
of Public Works.

ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 87-OR-33, AN ORDINANCE
FIXING BASIC SALARIES OF APPOINTED OFFICERS AND EMPLLOYEES
OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA, FOR THE YEAR 1988
WHEREAS, the Indiana State Board of Accounts has advised
the City that certain funds were expended in fiscal year 1988
in salaries which are not commensurate with the funds budgeted
pursuant to Ordinance No. 87-OR-33; and
WHEREAS, all interdepartmental transfers for meeting such
actual expenditures were made, but the actual bookkeeping in
these matters relating to the budget amounts in the salary
ordinance itself was not made; and
WHEREAS, this requires the budgeting of no new funds, but
order to cure any existing defectin existing
rather in
legislation.
BE IT
NOW ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of
Jeffersonville that the following line items in the budget be
amended as follows:
1. That the Deputy City Court Clerk under the City Judge's
budget shall be amended to the sum of $16,200.00.
2. That the Kennel Master under the Animal Shelter budget
shall be amended to the sum of $17,264.80.
3. That the line item of Assistant Kennel Master in the
Animal Shelter budget shall be amended to $19,844.80.
4. That the salary ordinance as passed in 87-OR-33 shall
further be amended to indicate that the Common Council of
the City of Jeffersonville approved payment to the former
Superintendent of the Jeffersonville Department of Parks
and Recreation through August of 1988, which amount of
payment shall include all accrued vacation pay.
