MINUTES
August 13,2025

PRESENT(VIRTUAL):
CALL TO ORDER Mayor Mike Moore called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. in the Mayor's Conference
Room in City Hall. The meeting was held in person and streamed on the City's Website. Amy Huffman
and Rob Waiz served on the board.
APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Mr. Waiz made the motion to approve the minutes from August 6, 2025.
Ms. Huffman seconded the motion; roll call vote taken, motion passed, 3-0.
APPROVAL OF PAYROLL: Mr. Waiz made the motion to approve the payroll. Ms. Huffman seconded the
motion; roll call vote taken, motion passed, 3-0.
OLD BUSINESS:
Hearing none.
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Amber Ridings—Approval of Special events
Our special events committee met and approved the following events, now we need board
approval. September 20, 2025, 4:00 p.m.—11:00 p.m. St. Augustine Oktober Fest to be held at
the church, 315 E. Chestnut St.
Manufacturing week, September 23-25, 2025 at NoCo Arts & Cultural District, specifically The
Depot and Maker 13.
Margarita Festival, September 6, 2025, 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at Union Game Yard, 115 W.
Chestnut St.
Mr. Waiz makes motion to approve events, seconded by Ms. Huffman,vote taken, motion
carries 3-0.
2. Len Ashack—Approval of road closure
I am asking for approval to close Maple Street from Penn Street to Grahams Street beginning
Monday, August 18, 2025 at 7:00 a.m. to August 29, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. for installation of new
manhole and replacement of sewer on Maple Street. We will allow local traffic but will be
closed to thru traffic. We are having to replace all 22 lateral connections. I know people hate
paying sewer bills but this is also what money is for replacing very old sewer line within the City,
says Mayor Moore. Mr. Waiz makes motion to approve closure, seconded by Ms. Huffman, vote
taken, motion carries 3-0.
3. Chad Reischl—Approval of Inter local agreement
Need approval of inter local agreement for the joint purchase of aerial photography services for
GIS mapping purposes, do have the money in my budget. Mr. Waiz makes motion to approve,
seconded by Ms. Huffman,vote taken, motion carries 3-0.
4. Josh Darby—Change order#1 for the Peach Blossom Sidewalk extension
Currently there is about a 300 ft gap of sidewalk on both sides of Peach Blossom and we are
finishing the two sections. Engineering has money in budget. Total for both sections, 600 ft. is
$46,975.00. Mr. Waiz makes motion to approve, seconded by Ms. Huffman, vote taken, motion
carries 3-06
ATTORNEYS REPORT:
I have nothing at this time.

With no rther business, Mr. Crouch made a motion to adjourn at 9:36 a.m.
