o Commissioner Reed noted the city has roundtables for a variety of
groups, but not artists. The roundtable would be used to help guide
artists, bring in speakers, hold breakout sessions, etc.
o Commissioner Miller suggested using a survey and/or focus group
so artists could co-design what this could look like
o Commissioner Wang noted we would offer a free space but
wouldn't art supplies, although we may be able to source speakers.
o Commissioner Hawkins suggested a "coffee klatsch" concept
where artists would gather for coffee and grow participation
organically.
o Commissioner Reed noted Caesars grant application submissions
are opening soon and this idea aligns with the focus points of the
grants.
• The grant money could be used to offset our costs.
• Commissioner Reed will send the information to
Administrator Wang
o Commissioner Miller offered to help with the focus groups and
needs assessment. She noted this concept sounds like a
Professional Learning Community (PLC).
o There was discussion about collaborating with Maker 13 and using
it as a rotating location.
-, The Commissioners agreed a survey would be a good start to
make sure we're meeting the need.
o Commissioner Zavala added, as a creative, she thinks this is a
good idea and a great opportunity for networking.
• Falls Landing Phase 2 Sculptures (Administrator Wang)
• Sculptures by Peyton Harshfield have been selected
Commissioner Wang will email the design to those who are online
(see below) and will share Peyton's full proposal to help explain her

that children had to be accompanied by a guardian.
