MINUTES
July 9,2025

PRESENT(VIRTUAL):
CALL TO ORDER Mayor Mike Moore called the meeting to order at 9:31 a.m. in the Mayor's Conference
Room in City Hall. The meeting was held in person and streamed on the City's Website. Rob Waiz and
Andy Crouch served on the board.
APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Mr. Crouch made the motion to approve the minutes from July 1, 2025.
Mr. Waiz seconded the motion; motion passed, 3-0.
APPROVAL OF PAYROLL: Mr. Waiz made the motion to approve the payroll. Mr. Crouch seconded the
motion; motion passed, 3-0.
OLD BUSINESS:
1. Les Merkley/Linda Mills/Bing Lovan—Follow up on 807 Fulton Street
Les Merkley, Corporation Counsel—We have received new photos, as of yesterday, of the
cleaned up property. Mayor Moore made motion to waive $300.00 a day fine that started June
25, 2025 to today, seconded by Mr. Crouch; motion passed 3-0.
2. Les Merkley/Linda Mills/Bing Lovan—Hearing on review of compliance with Building
Commissioner at 834 Fulton Street.
Bing Lovan, Code Enforcement for City of Jeffersonville. We have the new owner here today.
Please state your name for the record, says Mr. Merkley. Gino Rowan. I did purchase the home
from Mr. Minor, I know they have had issues with the title work, due to a person listed on the
deed being deceased. My attorney I have been working with is Kaitlyn Hines at Endris& Kraft
law firm, says Mr. Rowan. Mr. Crouch makes motion to table until Wednesday, July 16, 2025 @
9:30 a.m. to allow Mr. Merkley to check with Mr. Rowan's attorney on closing date, seconded by
4 Mr. Waiz; motion passed 3-0.

NEW BUSINESS:
1. Scott Adams/ Donna Ennis—Request for closure of 8th Street
We need to close 8th Street to get storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and utilities lines under the road
for Trailside Landing homes. This closure will be from Brighton Avenue to Brisco, beginning,
Monday, July 14th—25th. We have no other options, says Scott Adams. Is there a way to say if
not finished by 25th you work that weekend in order to finish so it will be clear for start of
school? Asks Chief Kavanaugh. Yes, we would be willing to do that, says Scott Adams. Mr.
Crouch makes motion to approve road closure with the understanding if not complete on July
25th they are to work weekend to get open for start of school, seconded by Mr. Waiz, motion
carried 3-0.
ATTORNEYS REPORT:
Mr. Merkley was not present
ADJOURNMENT:
With no further business, Mr. Miles made a motion to adjourn at 9:39 a.m.
