A RESOLUTION DECLARING AN AREA TO BE AN
ECONOMIC REVITALIZATION AREA
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville
is authorized pursuant to the provisions of I.C. 6-1.1-12.1 et
seq. to create an "Economic Revitalization Area" within the
City of Jeffersonville; and
WHEREAS, upon investigation, it has been determined that
the area commonly known as Lots 25 through 30 in the old
Claysburg neighborhood of Jeffersonville, Indiana, are in need
of assistance in order for it to develop to its highest and
best use by the current property owner, Wyandot, Inc., a
company who is anticipating a major expansion induced in part
by this action of the Common Council; and
WHEREAS, said rehabilitation and redevelopment will
ultimately lead to a positive contribution to the City's tax
base and employment opportunities; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of I.C. 6-1.1-12.1 et
seq., certain property tax deductions may be afforded as an
incentive to encourage development in underdeveloped or
declining areas and/or to install new manufacturing equipment
therein; and
WHEREAS, such improvements will benefit the long term tax
base of the city and stimulate employment opportunities within
the City; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of
Jeffersonville to grant certain property tax deductions based
upon properly certified data to the Common Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of
the City of Jeffersonville hereby declares the area commonly
known as Lots 25 through 30 of the old Claysburg neighborhood
in Jeffersonville, Indiana, which property is more specifically
described in Exhibit A attached hereto, as an Economic
Revitalization Area. This declaration shall only apply to
property within the above-described area as well as any new
manufacturing equipment which may be placed with any
rehabilitation or
property.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Common Council of
of Jeffersonville that deductions for real
redevelopment of the above-described real

period of ten (10) years, and for new manufacturing equipment
to a period of five (5) years.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution
shall be filed with the County Assessor and this resolution
shall be published in accordance with the provisions of
I.C. 5-3-1 and shall be available in the office of the
Clerk-Treasurer for public inspection hereafter.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Common Council will
receive and hear all remonstrances and objections from
interested persons on the 2nd day of October, 1989, at
7:30 o'clock P.M., in the Common Council Chambers of the
City-County Building, Jeffersonville, Indiana, and the Council
will take final action thereon and make any confirmations,
modifications, or recisions of said resolution on said date.
So resolved by the common Council of the City of
Jeffersonville, Indiana, this 5th day of September, 1989.

jeffersonville of Clark County, Indiana, being the same tracts
conveyed to Wyandot, inc. at Deed Drawer 22, Instrument 1693 and.
Deed Drawer 21, Instrument's 7964, 7965 and 7966, and bounded as
follows:
Beginning at an iron pin in the south line of Peacely Street
which marks the northwest corner of Lot 25 in the Town of
Claysburg, t~ence the following courses of the boundary:
South 84 deg. 05 min. 54 sec. East, 194.69 feet with the south
right-of-way line of Peacely Street and the north line of
said Lot 25 to a railroad spike in the centerline of the
vacated part of Green Street,
South 6 deg. O9 min. 51 sec. West, 149.41 feet to a railroad spike
in the north righ~-o~-waY line of New Peacel¥ Street;
North 83 deg. 50 min. 09 sec. West, 20.00 feet to an iron pin in
the west right-of-way line of Green Street;
South 6 deg. 09 min. 51 sec. West, 60.94 feet with said right-of-
way to an iron pin at the southeast corner of Lot 30, Town
of Claysburg;
North 84 deg. 05 min. 54 sec. West, 180.48 feet with the line
between Lots 30 and 31 to an iron pin in the east line of a
twenty (20) foot ~ide alley;
North 7 deg. 44 min. 24 sec. East, 210.36 feet with said alley to
the True Place of Beginning and containing 0.926 acres of
land.
