Home My WebLink AboutAmendment No. 1 to the Police Service Agreement AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE POLICE SERVICES CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE, INDIANA, AND THE RIVER RIDGE DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY WHEREAS, on February 18, 2025, the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana (the "City"), adopted Resolution No. 2025-R-3 entitled A Resolution Approving Police Services Agreement Between the City of Jeffersonville and the River Ridge Development Authority which resolution was subsequently approved by Mayor Mike Moore; and, WHEREAS, on February 20, 2025, the Board of Directors of the River Ridge Development Authority ("RRDA") adopted Resolution No. 12-2025 entitled A Resolution Approving a Police Services Contract with the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana, pursuant to the provisions of Ind. Code § 36-7-30-9(a)(23); and, WHEREAS,the Jeffersonville Police Department("JPD")commenced providing services under the Police Services Agreement with RRDA on April 1, 2015; and, WHEREAS,the JPD has recommended the installation of surveillance cameras by Flock Group, Inc. ("Flock"), within the portion of the River Ridge Commerce Center that is located within the boundaries of the City of Jeffersonville ("RRCC/Jeff") in effort to enhance traffic regulation and public safety; and, WHEREAS, JPD assisted RRDA in obtaining a proposal for the installation and maintenance of ten(10) cameras at locations within RRCC/Jeff as shown on the map attached to Flock's proposal that is attached hereto as Exhibit A; and, WHEREAS,on April 21,2025,the RRDA Board adopted Resolution No.25-2025 entitled A Resolution Approving Funding of the Purchase, Installation, and Servicing of Flock Safety Cameras Through the Jeffersonville Police Department pursuant to the scope of services and costs described in attached Exhibit A; and, WHEREAS, this Amendment is made for the purposes of adding the installation, monitoring, and servicing to the Scope of Police Services set forth in Section 3 of the Police Services Agreement,and to adjusting the Compensation to be paid by RRDA as set forth in Section 5 of the Police Services Agreement, subject to approval by the City of Jeffersonville Board of Public Works and Safety. IT IS THEREFORE AGREED by and between the City and RRDA as follows: 1. Amendments to the Police Services Agreement. The City and RRDA agree that the Police Services Agreement is hereby amended in the following particulars: a. Section 3 of the Police Services Agreement is hereby amended to add the purchase, installation, monitoring, servicing, and maintenance of the Flock Safety Cameras described in attached Exhibit A to the Scope of Services to be provided by the JPD. b. Section 5 of the Police Services Agreement is hereby amended to require RRDA to reimburse the City for all costs billed by Flock in accordance with attached Exhibit A within thirty (30) days after the City delivers an invoice from Flock for services provided under attached Exhibit A. 2. Remaining Provisions of the Police Services Agreement. All remaining provisions of the Police Services Agreement shall be unaffected by this Amendment and shall remain in full force and effect. 3. Effective Date of Amendment. The terms of this Amendment shall be in full force and effect upon approval by the City of Jeffersonville Board of Public Works and Safety. ?f.
