Home My WebLink AboutPMC August 13, 2024 nSS S-C) JEFFERSONVILLE POLICE MERIT COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 13, 2024 The Jeffersonville Police Merit Commission was held on August 13, 2024, at 5:00 P.M. at the Jeffersonville Police Department, 10th Street,Jeffersonville, Indiana. President Jeremy Snelling called the meeting to order with the following in attendance: President Jeremy Snelling, Vice-President Robert Campbell, Buddy Parker, Scott Aldridge,James Polk, Attorney Robert Bottorff and Patty Rush. Invocation was given by Robert Campbell APPROVAL OF MINUTES: President Snelling presented the minutes from July 9, 2024 meeting, asking if there were any comments, questions, or corrections. Mr. Parker made a motion to approve the Minutes as presented and seconded by Mr. Polk. Voted 5-0 OLD BUSINESS: None NEW BUSINESS: Major Todd Hollis read a letter from Major Isaac Parker regarding the Promotional List and appreciation to all participants. Attorney Bottorff read the list for Corporals by rank and date of eligibility. Daniel Harbin,Jonathan Herring, Levi James, Daniel Day, Gregory Odle, Travis Williams, Logan Bensing, William Harris, Hunter Powell,Thomas Lawson, Christopher Beahl, Cody Richardson, Brian Wyatt, Gage Love, Alex Dalton, Cody Farmer, Michael Biller and Jaylan Kavanaugh. Mr. Aldridge made a motion to certify the list of Corporal for the rank in order and seconded by Mr. Parker. Voted 5-0 Attorney Bottorff read the list for Sergeants by rank and date of eligibility. Aaron Olson, Craig Jackson, Kasey Cunningham,Justin Salisbury, Andrew Wassel, Shawn Leavell, Michael Smith, Anthony Stewart, Darin Broady, Michael McVoy and Christopher Campbell. Mr. Aldridge made a motion to certify the list of Sergeant for the rank in order and seconded by Mr. Polk. Voted 5-0 Attorney Bottorff read the list for Lieutenants by rank and date of eligibility. Jason Jackson, Drew Lydon, Joshua Mason, Amber Tharp and Shaune Davis. Mr. Aldridge made a motion to certify the list of Lieutenant for the rank in order and seconded by Mr. Parker. Voted 5-0 Attorney Bottorff read the list for Captains by rank and date of eligibility. Joshua Lynch, Mark Dobson, Samuel Moss, Gregory Seifried and Richard Ashabranner. Mr. Campbell made a motion to certify the list of Captain for the rank in order and seconded by Mr. Parker. Voted 5-0 Assistant Chief McVoy addressed the Commission regarding the Experienced Hiring List to be certified. Two were processed with only Ryan Rager is only one on list to certify. Mr. Aldridge made a motion to certify Ryan Rager of the Experienced Hiring List and seconded by Mr. Polk. Voted 5-0 Assistant Chief McVoy requested that 4 candidates to be certified in order Brock Messina,Jan Muhammad, Max Katan and Christian Henley. Mr. Aldridge made a motion to certify the above candidates and seconded by Mr. Parker. Voted 5-0 The new candidate list is out and have 52 applicants with agility test to be conducted on August 24`h at Jeffersonville High School with the written test to follow. PUBLIC COMMENTS: None CLAIMS: President Snelling presented Invoice #2024-08 from Patty Rush in the amount of$100.00. Mr. Campbell made a motion to approve the Invoice as presented and seconded by Mr. Parker. Voted 5-0 President Snelling presented Invoice from Affairs of the Heart for Bonnie Deppert in the amount of$40.00. Mr. Parker made a motion to approve the Invoice as presented and seconded by Mr. Campbell. Voted 5-0 President Snelling presented Invoice #00892 from Attorney Robert Bottorff in the amount of $2,280.00 for months from December, 2023 until August of 2024. Mr. Campbell made a motion to approve the Invoice as presented and seconded by Mr. Polk. Voted 5-0 ADJOURNMENT: Mr. Polk made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 5:53 P.M. and seconded by Mr. Aldridge.
