SANITARY SEWER BOARD
MINUTES OF July 3, 2024
The Sanitary Sewer Board of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana met in
regular session on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at 3:00 P.M in Jeffersonville City Hall
Mayor's Conference Room and via Zoom.
Meeting called to order by: Mayor Moore, Time: 3:00P.M.
Members Present:

Board Member Orem made the motion to approve the revised agenda as
presented, second by Board Member Saegesser passing on a roll call vote of 3-0.
The minutes of the June 20, 2024 meeting were presented for approval. Board
Member Saegesser, made the motion to approve the minutes as presented, second by
Board Member Orem, passing on a roll call vote of 3-0.
CONTROLLER'S REPORT
Controller Metcalf presented the claim list dated July 3, 2024 in the amount of
$3,947,906.95, Board Member Orem made the motion to approve the claims list as
presented, second by Board Member Saegesser, passing on a roll call vote of 3-0.
Director Ashack presented the Adjustment Certificate dated June 14, 2024 — June
26, 2024, in the amount of$-35,718.29 Sewage, $-7.70 Drainage, $518.81 Refund. Board
July 3, 2024 Page 2
Member Orem, made the motion to approve the Certificate as presented second by Board
Member Saegesser, passing on a roll call vote of 3-0.
OLD BUSINESS

NEW BUSINESS

1) Lochmueller Group — WITHDRAWN - Aquatic Survey of Lentzier Creek
2) Loma Vista Culvert Decommissioning — Drainage Project
a) Approved by Drainage Board
i) Flood Control wants it removed
ii) 3 Bids were received - $39,500.00 — Awarded to Temple & Temple
iii) Contractor would like to start next week
iv) They have requested to have Inspector on site through project
v) All funding will be provided by the Drainage Department
Board Member Orem made the motion to approve Loma Vista Culvert —
Drainage Project as presented second by Board Member Saegesser, passing on a
roll call vote of 3-0.
ENGINEERING REPORTS
Lenin Kasthuri & Justin Ramirez - presented and reviewed Lochmueller Group
Engineering Report dated July 3, 2024.
1) DWWTP Clarifiers and Thickeners Rehab Project
a. IDEM — No Permit is required
b. Coordination with Gates and Actuator Manufacturers are completed
2) General Services Agreement
a. Canadian Solar was notified regarding potential Fluoride limits of 1.6
mg/I
b. the pre-treatment limit is likely 2.0 mg/L
c. additional questions were sent to Canadian Solar to determine TKN to
the plant
3) North WWTP Expansion Project
a. Admin Building — Should be complete by the end of the month

Josh Darby— presented and reviewed Jacobi, Toombs & Lanz Engineering Report
dated July 3, 2024.
1) Veterans Parkway P.S. Upgrades
a. valve vault and emergency pump connection manhole structures have
been removed and subgrade issues have been remediated
b. contractor working on resetting and re-piping the valve vault
2) Rivershores Condos Pump Station
a. all piping, valves, and other appurtenances have been installed within
the structures
b. electrical work needs completed before the station will be operational
3) Market Street and Chippewa Drive Sanitary Sewer Replacement
a. all restoration activities have been completed along Chippewa Drive
b. all pipe work has been completed along Market Street (except for one
structure, which was built incorrectly by the precast manufacturer)
i. Once the correct structure is delivered, then all subsurface work
will be completed for this project.
4) Powerhouse Force Main
a. Proposed bid schedule has been set for public notice starting July 5,
2024
5) Cherry Creek Pump Station
a. Initial meeting with Cherry Creek Condo HOA to review proposed station
layout
i. Meeting scheduled for July 9, 2024
6) SR 62 Low Pressure Sewer Extension
a. Wastewater staff is coordinating with property owners
b. Construction project awarded to TRC, LLC
i. Once easements are acquired, notice to proceed can be issued
7) Greater Clark County Schools
a. Status is still the same, waiting for developments before reaching out to
BJ Heating and Cooling for sewer easement
8) Ellingsworth Commons Force Main
a. Status still the same
DEPARTMENT REPORT
Director Ashack — presented and reviewed the flow reports for June 2024
a. Easement for SR 62 Sewer extension (July 5th)
b. June 2024 WWTP Loadings
c. DWWTP Clarifier Improvements — Notice to Proceed Letter for design
was issued July 1, 2024
d. New Project Connections
(i) Tract 16D (Project Puzzle) in River Ridge - NWWTP

There being no further business to come before the Board, Board Member Orem made the
motion to adj urn at 3:12 P.M., second by Board Member Saegesser passing on a vote of
3-0. The ne regular eeting is scheduled for, Thursday, July 18, 2024.
