HomeMy WebLinkAboutBPW July 3, 2024 CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS MINUTES July 3, 2024 PRESENT(IN PERSON): Mayor Mike Moore, Andy Crouch City Engineer, Rob Waiz Redevelopment Director, Len Ashack Director of Wastewater, Kristie Ashcraft Animal Shelter Director, Kim Calabro HR Director, Bill Dixon Assistant City Engineer, Mike McCutcheon JFD Deputy Chief, Scott McVoy, Assistant Chief JPD, Heather Metcalf City Controller, Clark Miles Street Commissioner, Kevin Morlan Director of Street Department, Paul Northam Parks Director, Christy O'Neil Executive Assistant Mayor, Logan Payne Technology Specialist, Chad Reischl Director of Planning and Zoning, Delynn Rutherford Grant Administrator,Jay Thompson Assistant Director of Wastewater, Larry Wallace Buiding Commissioner, Kat Wang Public Arts Administrator, and Lisa Gill City Clerk. PRESENT(VIRTUAL): CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Mike Moore called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. in the Mayor's Conference Room in City Hall. The meeting was held in person and streamed on the City's Website. Andy Crouch and Rob Waiz served on the board. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Mr. Crouch made the motion to approve the minutes from June 26, 2024. Mr. Waiz seconded the motion; motion passed, 3-0. APPROVAL OF PAYROLL: Mr. Waiz made the motion to approve the payroll. Mr. Crouch seconded the motion; motion passed, 3-0. OLD BUSINESS: NEW BUSINESS: 1. Kat Wang-Request for renewal of NoCo Arts Center facility agreement and facility use permission between Jeff Public Arts and Louisville Visual Arts for continuing the Children's Fine Art Classes Academy-school year 2024-2025 — Mrs. Wang advised this was an annual agreement for the Louisville Visual Arts program could use the facility. Mr. Waiz made a motion to approve the agreement and Mr. Crouch seconded the motion; motion passed, 3-0. 2. Scott McVoy-Awarding of bids to John Jones Auto Group for the purchase of two (2) Chevy Tahoe's for the Police Department—Assistant Chief McVoy advised they submitted two bids at the last BPW Meeting to purchase 2 Chevy Tahoes. They solicited three bids however Bachman was nonresponsive to the bid. These were read at the last meeting; Coyle was in the amount of $57,393.50 and John Jones Auto Group was in the amount of$51,947.00. Assistant Chief McVoy requested the board to award the bid to John Jones Auto Group and they do have the money in their budget. Mr. Crouch made a motion to award the bid to John Jones Auto Group as the low bidder and Mr. Waiz seconded the motion; motion passed, 3-0. ATTORNEYS REPORT: Not present ADJOURNMENT: Mayor Moore declared Friday,July 5, 2024, a City Holiday advising City Hall would be closed.
