REGULAR MEETING
FEBRUARY 20, 2024
The Jeffersonville Drainage Board was held on February 20, 2024, at 5:30 P.M. in the Mayor's
Conference Room, Second Floor, 500 Quartermaster Court,Jeffersonville, Indiana. President Tim
Franklin called the meeting to order with the following in attendance.

APPROVAL OF CLAIMS:
President Franklin presented the Claims in the amount of$36,188.05, asking if there were any
comments or questions. Mr. Ketenbrink made a motion to approve the Claims as presented and
seconded by Mr. Calkin. Roll call for approval:

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
President Franklin presented the Minutes from February 6, 2024, asking if there were any
corrections, questions, or comments. Mr. Guepe made a motion to approve the Minutes as presented
and seconded by Mr. Calkin. Roll call for approval:

OLD BUSINESS:
City Engineer Crouch was requested to return quotes to the'Board regarding the camera•true-
He spoke to First Savings Bank with 5%%closer to 5 or 5 %%, Mr..1-Fertdefl received a quote from
Equipment Provider at 6.5% and 6.85%. City Engineer Crouch recommended that First Savings Bank and
see what the lowest percent they will offer. He advised that he will go with the recommendation of the
Board and direction to move forward. After much discussion, Mr. Calkin made a motion to put 50%
down of$100,000 of the total cost and finance the remaining to pay off at the end of this year. This
motion was seconded by Mr. Ketenbrink with the vote to follows.

NEW BUSINESS:
Axel Jaqoe with Heritage Engineering addressed the Board regarding Chipotle located at 2313 E.
102h Street. This will be located next to Jeffersonville Commons with the water going into the existing
detention basin. City Engineer Crouch has reviewed the plans and approved. Mr. Calkin made a motion
to approve the plans as presented and seconded by Mr. Ross with the vote as follows.

Megan Irving with American Structure Point addressed the Board regarding Project Puzzle. This
will be a building of 250,000 square feet in River Ridge. The water will drain into the regular drainage
basin. A presentation of video to show the board their plans. City Engineer Crouch has reviewed the
plans and has not problems to approve. Mr. Ketenbrink made a motion to approve the plans as
presented and seconded by Mr. Calkin with the vote as follows.

City Engineer Crouch addressed the Board regarding the Bioswale Maintenance Agreement with
Grant Line Nursery. This is the 2024 updated maintenance for Ohio Street, Market Street, Walnut
Street, Chestnut Street, Hopkins Street and Big 4. The total quoted for 2024 is total of$17,037.50. Mr.
Calkin made a motion to approve the Bioswale Maintenance Agreement as presented and seconded by
Mr. Sariscsany with the vote as follows.

PUBLIC COMMENTS:
Doug Carden at 409 W. Maple Street and Joseph Gillum at 413 W. Maple Street addressed the
Board regarding with the new parking lot they are having water running on their property and under
their garage. They explained it goes down the hill behind their houses and driveways. They had
questions with the four new homes going in beside parking lot beside 413 W. Maple Street and if the
water problem will get worse. City Engineer Crouch will check into that area and it is on the Master
Plan.

ADJOURNMENT:
Mr. Guepe made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:08 P.M. and seconded by Mr. Calkin. Our
next meeting will be held on March 5, 2024 at 5:30 P.M.
