FOR THE CITY OF JEFFERSONVILLE IN THE STATE OF INDIANA
RESOLUTION NO. 2023-R-
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING PARCELS OF REAL ESTATE BY
DEED TO JEFFERSONVILLE DEPARTMENT OF
REDEVELOPMENT
WHEREAS, the Jeffersonville Redevelopment Commission (hereinafter called
"the Commission") is the statutory body within the city responsible for redevelopment of
property;
WHEREAS, the Commission and the Jeffersonville Board of Public Works and
Safety ("BPW") are governmental entities pursuant to I.C. 36-1-11-1-1;
WHEARAS, the BPW has the statutory power to award contracts as the city's
disposing agent pursuant to I.C. 36-1-11-2;
WHEREAS, I.C. 36-1-11-8 permits the transfer of property between
governmental entities evidenced by adoption of a substantially identical resolution by
each entity;
WHEREAS, the City owns a certain parcel of real property (see attached Exhibit
"A" for legal description). (Parcel #10-19-03-500-729.000-009)
WHEREAS, the BPW has adopted a resolution authorizing the conveyance of the
aforementioned property to the Department of Redevelopment pursuant to I.C. 36-1-11-8
contingent upon the Commission adopting a similar resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Commission
accepts the conveyance of the Parcels of Real Estate by Deed as described in attached
Exhibit"A" to the Department of Redevelopment for further development consistent with
Indiana law.

Indiana, an Indiana Municipal Corporation, hereinafter referred to as
"Grantor", for One Dollar ($1.00) and other good and valuable consideration,
does hereby grant, transfer, convey and quitclaim to the Jeffersonville
Department of Redevelopment, an Indiana Municipal Corporation,
hereinafter referred to as "Grantee" all of its right, title and interest in and to
the following described real estate in Clark County, State of Indiana, and which
is more particularly described in the legal description attached hereto as
Exhibit "A" of which exhibits are incorporated herein by reference.
This conveyance is subject to all covenants, restrictions and easements
of record.
