PRESENT(VIRTUAL): CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Mike Moore called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. in the Mayor's Conference Room in City Hall. The meeting was held in person and streamed on the City's Website. Andy Crouch and Rob Waiz served on the board. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Mr. Crouch made the motion to approve the minutes from October 4, 2023. Mr. Waiz seconded the motion; motion passed, 3-0. APPROVAL OF PAYROLL: Mr. Waiz made the motion to approve the payroll. Mr. Crouch seconded the motion; motion passed, 3-0. OLD BUSINESS: NEW BUSINESS: 1. Les Merkley—2023-R-8 Remonstrances Hearing with regards to the amount of damage award for acquisition of real property located at 2309 Woodland Court— Mr. Merkley presented 2023-R-8 and advised this Resolution will finalize the acquisition of a property located at 2309 Woodland Court. A few weeks ago the board established the damages for the acquisition in the amount of$24,222. This resolution sustained the amount except it increased it for interest owed to New Washington State Bank since that time. The new total was$24,460.95. This matter was set for a public hearing for anyone to object to the damages that was established at the last meeting. Public Hearing held to hear any remonstrator to the acquisition of the real esatat; no remonstrators appeared after the public hearing was dually noticed for the proceedings. Mr. Waiz made a motion to adopot 2023-R-8 and Mr. Crouch seconded the motion; motion passed, 3-0. 2. Terry Taflinger with Animal Protection Association-Request for approval of lease agreement between the City and Animal Protection Association for lease of building located at 702 East 11th Street— Ms. Taflinger requested approval of the lease. Mr. Waiz made a motion to approve the lease and Mr. Crouch seconded the motion; motion passed, 3-0. 3. Andy Crouch-Request for approval of Public Art Coordinator contract between Jeffersonville Public Art Commission and Sarah Young—Mr. Crouch requested approval of the contract with Sara Young for the Public Art Coordinator and the contract came with a recommendation from the Public Arts Commission. Mr. Waiz made a motion to approve the contract and Mr. Crouch seconded the motion; motion passed, 3-0. ADJOURNMENT.
