The undersigned, , agrees to work as an independent
contractor for the City of Jeffersonville. The undersigned understands that they
are not an employee of the City of Jeffersonville and that they are not entitled
to any benefits or protections that are afforded to employees. The undersigned
also understands that the City of Jeffersonville is not liable for any harm or
injury that the undersigned may suffer while working on behalf of the City.
The undersigned, , acknowledges the terms and
conditions of this agreement. The undersigned agrees to work as an
independent contractor for the City of Jeffersonville and to hold the City
harmless from any and all claims that may arise from my work. The
undersigned agrees to pursue the completion of the above listed contracted
duties to the best of their ability.

Position Overview
The Public Art Coordinator(PAC) role is a support-centric role designated to the
Public Art Administrator(PAA).The PAC will assist the public art program with
various tasks including(but not limited to) event coordination,volunteer
development, facility planning, administrative support, grant assistance, and various
public relations.
Position Expectations
o The Public Art Coordinator will provide overall support to the public art program on
an average of 15-2o hours per week.
o The Public Art Coordinator will meet with the Public Art Administrator on an agreed
regular basis(weekly/bi-weekly/monthly/etc)to discuss the current status of
assigned tasks/projects.
o The Public Art Coordinator agrees to maintain open and regular communication with
the Public Arts Administrator regarding any relevant, time-sensitive public art
programming.
o The Public Art Coordinator will operate objectively from the public art program, and
will be responsible only for tasks that are delegated to them.
o The Public Art Coordinator will meet deadlines assigned by the Public Art
Administrator
Position Timeline:
Contract will be active from October 21, 2023 to October 20, 2024(12 months).
Position Compensation:
Public Art Coordinator will be paid the designated amount of$20,600 over the course
of the contract timeline.This amount will be paid in monthly installments of
$1,716.67.The Public Art Coordinator will be responsible for submitting a monthly
invoice to the Public Art Administrator for services,which must be approved by the
City Council of Jeffersonville before payment can be administered.

Contractor Agreement:
The role and responsibilities of the Public Arts Coordinator shall be outlined,
but need not be limited, by the following terms:
i. EVENT COORDINATION SUPPORT:
o PAC can provide event planning/coordination for events designated by PAA
o PAC can assign volunteer support for events designated by PAA
o PAC can provide setup/breakdown support for designated events, as
determined by PAA.
o Planning and coordination process will be discussed in advance with PAA and
is subject to vary with each individual event.
2.VOLUNTEER DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT:
o PAC can support the proposed vision of the PAA in regards to future planning
for volunteers
o PAC can update the current volunteer database monthly
o PAC can send out volunteer requests for upcoming public art events.
o PAC can provide a transparent log of volunteers and shifts designated to each
event
o PAC can make efforts to expand the current volunteer base through
community outreach, volunteer marketing, and collaboration with local
volunteering groups.
3. FACILITY PLANNING SUPPORT (NoCo Arts Center):
o PAC can assist PAA with facility supply stocking
o PAC can assist PAA with planning/coordination of NAC
maintenance/renovations
o PAC can become familiar with all current reservation/rental and resident
contracts
o PAC can reach out to resident artists with relevant event information/facility
updates
o PAC can provide organizational support to the facility storage spaces

4.ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT:
o PAC can support the PAA with designated administrative tasks, included but
not limited to:
—administering or responding to phone calls
—organizing digital documents
—administering or responding to emails
—proofreading/reviewing documents related to the Public Art Program
—creating/posting social media updates
—creating/updating website content
5. GRANT SUPPORT:
o PAC can support PAA in vision for grant and application processes,whether
by writing or applying for grants on behalf of the public art program.
6. PUBLIC RELATIONS SUPPORT:
o PAC can actively participate in community events and represent public art
program
o PAC can attend networking events to promote volunteer base and events
o PAC can support PAA as stand-in for any events PAA in unable to attend
