PRESENT (VIRTUAL): Heather Rapp Public Arts Administrator CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Mike Moore called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m. in the Mayor's Conference Room in City Hall. The meeting was held in person and streamed on the City's Website. Andy Crouch and Rob Waiz served on the board. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Mr. Crouch made the motion to approve the minutes from June 14, 2023. Mr. Waiz seconded the motion; motion passed, 3-0. APPROVAL OF PAYROLL: Mr. Waiz made the motion to approve the payroll. Mr. Crouch seconded the motion; motion passed, 3-0. OLD BUSINESS: NEW BUSINESS: 1. Kevin Morlan and De'Caris Logan with JTL-City of Jeff Street Paving Project Bid Award 2023-1— Mr. Morlan advised De'Caris Logan with JTL was present. They had 3 bidders for this project and are here to request approval pending legal review. Mr. Logan advised Libs Paving's bid was for $908,826.80. Louisville Paving's bid was $979,952.69. Mac Construction's bid was for 1,045,000.00. The low bid was Libs Paving, their documents are recorded and they are recommending them for award pending legal review. Mr. Crouch made the motion contingent on legal review and Mr. Waiz seconded the motion; motion passed, 3-0. 2. Mayor Mike-Request for approval to close Spring Street in area around Heuser Hardware on Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm — Mayor Moore advised Heuser Hardware is celebrating being in business for 100 years this Saturday and are requesting a road closure on Saturday June 24th from 9-1:30. Mr. Waiz made the motion to approve the request and Mr. Crouch seconded the motion; motion passed, 3-0. Mayor Moore thanked Councilperson Dustin White. The Juneteenth Concert on Sunday brought out around 8,000 people. He heard nothing but compliments about the City, it went over great. Dustin came with that idea and it was a huge success and thanks to Amber Powell who does all of the event planning down at the Riverstage. The Police had to work some extra hours as well as the Fire Department and to any other department who worked extra hours, it is very much appreciated.
