HomeMy WebLinkAbout2023-OR-38 Plan Commission Recommendation to Common Council to Repeal & Replace 2015-OR-58, The Jeffersonville Comprehensive Plan STATE OF INDIANA BEFORE THE JEFFERSONVILLE COMMON COUNCIL ORDINANCE 2023-OR- PLAN ASS COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION TO JEFFERSONVILLE COMMON COUNCIL TO REPEAL AND REPLACE ORDINANCE 2015-OR-58, THE JEFFERSONVILLE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN WHEREAS,the Jeffersonville Department of Planning and Zoning filed a petition before the Jeffersonville Plan Commission to repeal and replace the City of Jeffersonville Comprehensive Plan(passed via 2015-OR-58)with Building Jeff our Comprehensive Plan as recommended by the Plan Commission(a copy of which can be found at http://cityofjeff.net/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Building-Jeff-Final sm.pdf); and, WHEREAS, the Planning Director has recommended such changes; and WHEREAS,the Plan Commission held a public hearing on June 12, 2023 in accordance with I.C. 36-7-4-604; and WHEREAS,notice was properly given to the public prior to the public hearing being held; and WHEREAS,the Plan Commission by a majority vote of its entire membership believes that the proposed changes should be made and that the proposed changes are in the interests of the public health, safety, comfort, convenience, morals and general welfare; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RECOMMENDED by the Jeffersonville Plan Commission to the Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana,that the Jeffersonville Comprehensive Plan(2015-OR-58) be repealed and replaced with Building Jeff our Comprehensive Plan as recommended by the Plan Commission(a copy of which can be found at http://cityofjeff.net/wp-content/uploads/2023/06Building-Jeff- Final sm.pdf) 1 a2©L3—e/e-,Ya Common Council of the City of Jeffersonville, Indiana VOTED FO': ' r VOTED AGAINST: ' \ dilik -- 11 11Jk 4, - ''. 1111ko pb .`, 40 lliCn C / % pi _ '4 c2'7 , °4 T1/0/ 7te (1 MO Ma ,'resident ATTEST: Lisa G !I City Clerk Prepared by: Les Merkley Corporate Counsel
