The.Jeffersonville Parks Authority met in Session on Monday,February 27,2023 in the Mayor's conference
room on the third floor of City Hall. Members Present: Lisa Carter, Evan Stoner,Johnna Anderson, Larry
Jordan, Ralph Scales, Pam Clark, Carmen Croudep, and Debbie Pait. Members absent: Bill Burns.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Member Stoner made a MOTION to approve the agenda for the'February 27rd, 2023 Parks Authority
Meeting,the motion was seconded by Member Scales. The motion passed on a vote of 8-0.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Member Clark made a MOTION to approve the minutes from the January 23rd, 2022.Parks Authority
Meeting,the motion was seconded by Member Stoner. The motion passed on a vote of 8-0.
PRESENTATION: DONATION FROM BOY SCOUTS
Paul Northam introduced Eagle Scout Dylan Minter(Troop 4010). Dylan had previously completed a
Library Box.Project at Shirley's Arbor Park,and wanted to thank Paul and the Park's Authority.Board for
supporting him. He presented the City of Jeffersonville Park's Department with a check totaling
$300.33.

NEW BUSINESS
Amber Powell made the recommendation to award C& H Audio Visual Production the contract for
Riverstage Production Services. This company has worked with Iroquois Amphitheater and Abbey Road
on the River. Member Jordan made a MOTION to approve, and Member Pait seconded the motion. The
motion was passed on a vote of 8-0. All contracts are approved pending legal review.
Amber also presented the ProMedia contract. The 2023 goal is to capture more content and record
concerts. Member Clark made a MOTION to approve,and the motion was seconded by Member Stoner.
The motion was passed on a vote of 8-0. All contracts are approved pending legal review.
Paul Northam shared the Chapel Lake Mitigation Agreement with the Parks Authority Board. This
summarizes the stipulations for removal and planting trees. Several trees(4 to 6ft.tall)will be planted
near the creek and the targeted completion is May. Member Jordan made a MOTION to approve, and
the motion was seconded by Member Stoner. The motion was passed on a vote of 8-0.
Paul Northam presented quotes for a Cub Cadet Mower. The recommendation was made to purchase
from Jacobi Sales,as the equipment was currently"in stock". This is to be utilized for the steeper terrain
at Exit O and Exit 1. :Member Stoner made a MOTION to approve, and the motion was seconded by
Member Pait.
Director's Report
Sara Nord—Men's Basketball Leagues are underway,with 6 teams participating in the Recreational
league: This includes high school only experience; however,the Competitive league includes those with
college experience and/or professional. There are currently 8 teams in this league. Preparations have.
begun for the 2023 Summer Camp. The Housing Authority has purchased a new tile floor for the
Envision Center. Installation is now completed.
Ricky Romans—Restoration continues at WAC. The HVAC has been ordered and Otis Elevator has
ordered parts for repair. Pro4mance will work to have the restrooms ready for rentals. Football
meetings have begun and softball registration is underway.
Olivia Mann—The Sweetheart Dance at the Ken Ellis Center was a huge success,with over 50 in
attendance. There is a Hawaiian Hoedown planned for August. The Aquatic Center is preparing for the
new pool pumps(arriving in 2 weeks). Since most staffers will be returning from last year, hiring is only
needed for 1 more lifeguard and 1 more concession worker.
Matt Siler—The Depot is back to normal after dismantling of the ice rink. The sand was utilized at the
balifields. .River driftwood was removed at Duffy's and Fisherman's Wharf.
Amber Ridings—Summer camp registration begins March 13th, and fills very quickly. The rentals at both
the Envision Center and Fieldhouse are continuing, as interest is high thus far in 2023. Regarding new
travel opportunities,Collette Tour Company is holding an informational meeting. This is scheduled for
March.16th(4:00) at the Ken-Ellis Center, and is available for anyone 50 yrs. and over.
Paul Northam—Richard Vissing Park playground is now complete,with the exception of pea gravel. The
Greenspace team has been busy stump-grinding,cleaning out landscaping beds and working at Allison
Brook.
A"thank you"was mentioned for City Council,as they've agreed to help fund the new pumps required
at the Aquatic Center. The Parks Department will be replacing the refrigerator/freezer, painting and
purchasing a CPR.mannequin.
Lastly, hiring has begun for the Parks seasonal positions and the first person was hired today. There will
be 2-3 more positions available.
