Approve Minutes from JPAC Meeting—June 13,2022—Motion to approve minutes as written by Sarah Young, seconded by Abbigail Richmer, motion carried unanimously. NoCo Art Mobile—Andy Crouch/John McCarthy We need to thank Michael O'Brien, Director of Vehicle Maintenance for City of Jeffersonville for getting the van ready for us. And also Carolyn at Lavender Hill for flower we had for reception. The van is stocked, and we have programming dates confirmed as follows, October 12 at A Child's Place, October 15,November 16, and November 29, 2022. Also, Metro United Way will be having a volunteer just have to get back with them with a date. We will be doing background checks on all volunteers. And right now we are looking at having like three levels of volunteers, one that we would like to have a lot of experience working with kids, one that is more of a"helper", and one as a"muscle" person. We will put out on website as a google doc to come right back to email for JPac. I believe we need some criteria set up for this moving forward, said Andy Crouch. And we also need to discuss the rollout to the neighborhoods. I think we should do the rollout in phases because we have to make sure we will not be overloaded and can get everything coordinated, says Sarah Young. I believe we need to come up with a rental document to be able to rent the van for events, says John McCarthy. I don't know how I feel about this "renting" idea,we have never charged for events put on by Arts, and the dates we have confirmed as of right now are private events and we are not charging them but we are thinking of charging neighborhoods for bringing the van to them. I really think we need to think more about this, says Andy Crouch. Children's Fine Art Class—John McCarthy This is going on as we speak,we have 12 kids signed up and working with artist at NOCO. Digital Art Gallery—John McCarthy New Show is up and going. I think we should put something up about the Art Mobile and how to volunteer for it and get it to your neighborhood, said Andy Crouch. Louisville Zoo Butterly Garden—Andy Crouch The Louisville Zoo has postponed this project until Spring 2023. It is still going to happen just a little postponed. • Duke Energy Improvements—Andy Crouch This is behind NAC building. Looks really nice, and we thought maybe some fun lighting could be put there to kind of take your eye off what is still showing. If we can't hide it let's make it fun. New Business: IAC Conference—Andy Crouch We received a very nice thank you note from IAC Commissioners. Everything turned out great,Mayor Moore welcomed everybody to conference and Jeffersonville. John and Denise, the art projects were very nice. This was just a great event and all in attendance loved being here. Arts Administrator Update—Andy Crouch We have reposted the job opening online, so far we have received 10-11 applicants. I am still having some internal discussions about this job description. I would like to rewrite this job description looking at maybe a program change. I want to make sure we are not setting next person up to be overwhelmed and feel like they can't perform all duties of this position as written. NoCo Pipes Mural—Andy Crouch Project is complete—we would like to have a ribbon cutting very soon. Let me talk to Lacey and Joe and come up with some dates and will bring this back up next month. Holiday Art Market—Kofi Darku Need to set a date for event. Last time we had event it was first weekend of December, which looks like would be December 3 if we want to go with same time as before, says Kofi Darku. I think December 3rd would be out best date,I will reach out to Emily's vendor list, says Sarah Young. Public Art Maintenance—John McCarthy Abbigail and I have worked on first draft and was hoping to have for tonight, but that did not.happen. We should be ready next meeting. Shirley's Arbor Sculpture—Andy Crouch We need to schedule a ribbon cutting/dedication for the sculptures. Artist contacted me and made another piece that is same color scheme as the two in Shirley's Arbor and wanted to know if we were interested in purchasing the third piece, purchasing price is $12,000.00. I have already spoken with Paul Northam, with Parks Department and he would love to have it but can't afford the full $12,000.00, so I did offer if Parks can come up with$6,000.00 Arts will pay the other$6,000.00. Motion to pay$6,000.00 toward third piece if Parks Department comes up with their$6,000.00, seconded by Susie Harrison, motion carried unanimously.
