School shows—Dates and Volunteers—Emily Dippie
Date is set for week of April 18-22, 2022. April 18/19 Elementary Art hanging days and reception will be April
20. I will be making a firm volunteer call next meeting, but I wanted to get this on everyone's calendar
because we will need some help.
I hope all will make effort to attend this event, it is great to see all the art of the up and coming artists of
Jeffersonville, said John McCarthy.
Reappointments Update—Emily Dippie
We get to keep Kofi. I got the official word from the Mayor that Kofi is reappointed as a Commissioner for 3
years.
Gallery Updates—Emily Dippie
Heads up I did release the call for digital gallery space, we are receiving submissions. I will be reaching out
soon for jury panels for the year. If you are on digital gallery committee I need you to stick around to discuss
October theme. The artists have really liked having the year long calendar it helps them to plan.
Is there deadline for the submissions, asked John McCarthy. I built a page showing all calls, there are
descriptions of all projects, along with calendar with deadline to apply for each show. Any questions about this
right now?Asks, Emily.
RFP
Pipes
Shirley's Arbor
I mentioned this last month, I wrote up the RFP's and pushed them out, we have not received any submissions
yet but they are out there. We do have a lot of time before deadline, just wanted you all to know RFP is out
there and word of mouth always is the best.
Company Outcast Update—Emily nipple
February show, due to Omnicron, changed to podcast. Podcast will be done Saturday and pushed out in March.
Our partnership with them is going well. Please let us know when that comes out, said John. Oh yes, I will for
sure, says Emily.

Committee Calls
Amplift Kick off Party
NoCo Art Mobile
Two of the committees have met, NOCO art mobile and Ample&have had their first committee meeting. I think
both of the meeting were very fruitful. Things discussed in NOCO Art mobile, instead of doing a trailer for
NOCO art mobile we are doing a van, this gives us more options to who can drive it and the cost. So we are
leaning more toward a van. Started planning for what summer training can look like. Next action I will move
forward to purchase a van, with the help of a few other City employees. I have a friend that has a van they
drive around and they have a lift in the van, this helps a lot. Can we look for a van with a left?Asks Susan. I
think that's a good thought, I am making a note, says Emily.
Amplify committee meeting, great meeting brought forth, we talked about what we wanted this kick off party be,
so we want people to know what JPAC is and the plan for 2022. What are people going to do at this party,
collaborative art piece, pipe painters, feedback area, also talked about a photo booth, band, food trucks, the
idea of having this feel like a street party. We have schedule our second meeting for next week We have set the
date for Ampler is April 9, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. We are going to have a mini horse fashion show, they bring 8
mini horses. Amplify the Arts.
Report on Franklin Square partnership zoom—Abigail Richmer
Most of the meeting was very informational, their goal is to become a STEM certified school. Discussed the
steps they are having to take to get this certification, talked about project lead the way, it's hands on leaning,
real world engagement. Full Steam ahead program is their school clubs programs. Hoping to create a
partnership between the school and community environment. What is the process of certification? They have to
have their curriculum laid out, and there is a rubric they have to go by and then it goes to the State for
certification. The other thing I think we might need to do it possibly get a couple of their administrators to talk
with just us, said John.
Story Trail discussion
Do we want to release to schools the same as last time or do we want to change it? John wrote an awesome
lesson plan to help incorporate into the lessons, we created an online portal that students could use to submit
their stories. Was there anybody on the jury that thought we needed to add, do we want to change the theme? I
think it's great to change the theme this year, said Sarah. I kinda feel it's time to change the theme, says Rosey.
I think we should open it up a little more. I think we should change it as well, said Denise. I too, am thinking
we should change it up, says Kofi. I think with Jeffrey and a lot of new artwork we wouldn't have to change it
this year, said Susan. Sounds like we want to go with Jeffrey as our theme, says Emily. Can we give the kids
prompts for their submissions?Asks Sarah. I love that idea, would help to give the kids directions, says Rosey.
Can we include Ava that wrote the poem for Jeffrey and the artist that created Jeffrey in maybe a video, says
Rosey. I think we need to incorporate the newest Story trail artist as well, says.Sarah.
My only thought and worry about doing a group of videos is that the teachers have everything they need to
complete this. If we want to get this in teacher lesson plan book do we want to push out what we did last year
and then enhance it at a later date/time?Asks Emily.
Mini Maples Art Project
RFP Theme for Pipes
RFP Theme for Shirley's Arbor
I got contacted by an Artist right after Janauary meeting, Donna Shaw she is in collaboration with GCCS
Librarians. She is working to create 10 dierammas, each costing$400.00. she is looking to have each one
sponsored by local groups. Once she has all 10 it will be a traveling show to all elementary schools in GCCS.
We have until April to decide if we would like to sponsor, so we can vote tonight or wait until March meeting.
This promotes literacy and art, says Rosey. Are we talking about sponsoring 1 of the 10, asks Denise. One
board cost is$400.00 says Emily. Susan makes motion to sponsor 1 board for$400.00, motion seconded by
Rosey, roll call vote taken, motion carried 7-0.
Calendar Update
I put together a tentative calendar, I wanted to review with you guys to see if anything needed moved or we like
where everything is. Thank you for putting this together, it helps us to plan, says Sarah. Yes it looks good
Contractor Update
Original budget we voted to bring someone in to do grants and stuff, I am working with HR about this but
wanted you all to know I am working on this just haven't brought someone in yet.
